Purpose of the post: The Peer Lead will, support the Involvement Centre Coordinator and the mental health engagement and recovery team, to set up and develop the Waterford Involvement centre, in line with, and following the model already in place in Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary. This person will be a full and integral member of the Peer led Involvement Centre team, providing practical assistance in the development of this service and supporting people who access the service, helping them to regain control over their lives and their own unique recovery journey. The Peer Lead will take a lead role in embedding recovery values within the service in which they work, alongside other Recovery Champions and act as an ambassador for recovery for the HSE with external agencies and organisations. The Peer Lead will use their expertise gained through lived experience to inspire hope and recovery.
