The Clear Group requires an Accountant to join our team working on a full-time permanent basis from 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday based in our Support Office, Belfast. Reporting to the Financial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Group financial management and monitoring of the internal control environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities Preparation of accounts Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for the operational management. Responsibility for all journals and final GL balances including review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Group’s accounting records and financial systems. Production of statutory accounts for the various companies in Pharmacy Division as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and the legislation of the countries in which they operate. Budgets and forecasts Preparation of budgets and forecasts and continued monitoring and review of performance against them to enable robust reporting of variances. Financial management and controls Effectively manage the working capital components of the Group with specific attention to stock and cash balances. Active management of overheads whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies and savings. Assist in the production of a Control and Procedures manual and to ensure it is being adhered to. Play an active role in assisting management in the risk assessment process and embedding a risk management culture throughout the organisation. Taxation Ensure returns for VAT are submitted, payments made on time and all relevant regulations are complied with. Staff Effectively manage, motivate and develop the Finance department team. Supervise and review performance of individuals in the team. Liaise with different departments to ensure the Finance department is properly supporting the needs of the Pharmacy Division. General Liaise with auditors, tax advisers, brokers, bankers and other parties as directed by the Financial Director. Carry out any further tasks for which your qualifications and experience are suited as directed by the Company. QA Packaging Compliance Officer
Job Overview The QA Packaging Compliance Officer is involved in primarily all Packaging line related Quality queries. They are primarily involved in the Quality checks and routine monitoring of the set-up, operation and compliance of all packaging line operations from a Quality perspective. The position will be heavily involved in the reduction/minimisation of any errors and ensuring compliance on all line operations. The QA Compliance officer will work closely and in conjunction with the existing Production packaging line staff, change control staff and existing QA personnel to ensure the materials being packed are compliant and according to the specification requirements. The role will provide an independent QA oversight on packaging operations to improve efficiencies, reduce errors and ensure GMP compliance. This role will involve working a 3-shift pattern to include days, evenings and night shifts. The Working Hours for this position will be Monday to Friday 6am-2pm, Sunday night to Friday morning 10pm-6am and Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm. Production Manager
Job summary Key Responsibilities Understand and follow the company’s Health & Safety policies. Comply with the Environmental management system and minimise environmental impact where possible. Demonstrated ability to carry out risk assessments of activities carried out in a production environment and ability to put effective control measures in place. Drive a ‘safety culture’ and an appreciation of the materials, processes, and systems. Adhere to the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice ensuring product is manufactured adhering to Norbrook’s Quality Management System. Where deviations occur raise, investigate and implement CAPAs aligned with Quality Assurance to address the root cause of deviating from validated processes. Ensure cleaning of equipment and facilities is carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures to avoid contamination. Coordinate the manufacturing schedule aligned with Equipment & Process capability. Provide technical management & advice to supervisors & operators. Lead a team ensuring that production goals and targets are met. Ensure procedures are set and followed to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of the area. Ensure products are manufactured to the highest standards and associated records are completed compliantly at all times. Actively engage in continuous improvement programmes ensuring that all manufacturing activities are carried out in the most cost-effective manner, minimising reject levels and maximising yields to ensuring that daily production targets and annual departmental goals are met. Manage and be responsible for Manufacturing Supervisors (who manage teams on various shift patterns) Drive high standards of performance within the team and identify development needs/skills gaps. Work to build strong cohesive teams both within their department and cross functionally within the company. Maintain accurate and up to date training records for team, with a robust training plan to maintain competence in all tasks within manufacturing suite. Essential Criteria: A degree or third level qualification in Pharmacy, Science, Engineering or Mathematics (or a closely related area) OR at least five years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Packaging environment. Three years’ experience in a management role including managing teams on shift rotas. Experience and understanding of manufacturing, regulatory, quality and validation requirements, manufacturing processes. Ability to motivate and train team members. Experience of environmental, health and safety Experience of control of cross contamination. Experience of documentation associated with a Quality Management System. Understanding of production documentation processes. Demonstrated ability to maintain compliant & safe working environment, delivering products at high quality and in line with regulatory standards. Desirable Criteria: Experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing/Packaging environment. Experience in oral dose manufacturing, Sterile Injectables or other Pharmaceutical dosage formats. Additional Information: This role will be based in a site that produces and handles penicillin, and as such, this role would not be suitable for those that have a penicillin allergy.
