Duty Manager

Responsible for programming a varied timetable of activities that achieve income targets as required and ensuring compliance to expenditure budgets. Duration of appointment: 3 x Permanent Posts Hours of Work: Post 1 and 2: Average 36 hours per week Post 3: Average 18.5 hours per week The post holder must be prepared to work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, and Public and extra Statutory Holidays for which the appropriate payment will be made or time in lieu granted if relevant. Kilkeel Leisure Centre is to undergo a refurbishment and as such will be closed for a temporary period whilst these works are undertaken. These posts will be temporarily based at alternative locations during the refurbishment—either Newry Leisure Centre or Down Leisure Centre depending on service needs. The permanent base will be Kilkeel Leisure Centre once the refurbishment is complete. The post holder may be required to transfer to other locations in accordance with any requirements stated in the Job Description, any reviews of service delivery or other requirements as may arise from time to time. Essential criteria: • Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or a related discipline • 3+ years experience in a relevant industry • Willingness to be practical and hands-on as well as perform theoretical research • Proven experience within the IVD, medical device or biotechnology industries • Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, including fluid dynamics, mass transfer and reaction engineering • Knowledge of ISO 13485, IVDR and other relevant standards and regulations • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to convey complex ideas effectively to a wide audience Desirable: • Masters or PhD in chemical engineering • Qualified Chartered Engineer with the IChemE • Experience with Design of Experiments and Statistical Analysis Techniques • Experience with Lyophilisation including associated manufacturing process development technologies • Experience with CIP (Clean-in-place), as well as vial filling, capping and labelling • Knowledge of automated processes and equipment, pumps, valves, PLC control

ROLE You will assist the Pharmacist in delivering a comprehensive dispensing service to patients to meet their individual needs. You will be involved in the assembly of a range of Monitored Dosage Systems and the supply of a wide range of Pharmacy products. Essential Criteria GCSE (or equivalent qualification) Maths and English – Grades A-C Applicants should be able to demonstrate numeracy and accuracy skills required for a retail pharmacy environment.
