Purpose of the RoleThe Community Employment (CE) Supervisor plays a key role in the delivery of the Community Employment Scheme, ensuring its effective operation in line with Cheshire Ireland’s vision, values, and strategic objectives.The postholder will manage human, financial, and material resources, while coaching and supporting CE participants to develop skills, qualifications, and confidence to transition into employment. This role requires collaboration with the Sponsoring Committee, Service Management, and the Department of Social Protection.Key Responsibilities1. Administration<ul><li>Implement efficient financial and accounting systems in compliance with CE governance requirements.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial returns (e.g., wage claims, materials claims, training grants).</li><li>Oversee financial operations to guarantee correct participant allowances.</li><li>Safeguard scheme assets, including cash, equipment, and materials.</li><li>Maintain an effective time-keeping system for participants.</li><li>Liaise with the local Department Officer as required.</li></ul>2. Training &amp; Development<ul><li>Conduct individual learner needs assessments as part of the Individual Learner Plan (ILP) process.</li><li>Develop ILPs for each participant and record progress on Welfare Partners.</li><li>Identify and coordinate cost-effective training and development opportunities.</li><li>Ensure access to recognised qualifications (NFQ Major Awards or industry standards).</li><li>Plan and procure approved training in line with procurement guidelines.</li><li>Monitor and evaluate training outcomes and provide progress reports to the Sponsoring Organisation.</li><li>Organise internal and external work placements as required.</li><li>Maintain accurate training records for all participants.</li></ul>3.
