THIS ROLE IS A FOR A FIXED TERM OF UP TO 12 MONTHS INITIALLY, WHICH MAY BECOME PERMANENT AT A LATER STAGE IF BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS EXIST. BAND: 7 JOB PURPOSE: The Technical Standards Manager will report to the Head of Development Services; working within a team involved in the active programming and approval of general needs and supported housing schemes to provide technical support within the Development Programme Group; dealing with the evolution and assessment of schemes to meet the requirements of the Housing Association Guide. As a senior professional in the team the Technical Standards Manager may be required to cross professional boundaries to make a contribution to the overall management of the group. REQUIREMENTS: 1. i) Have a degree level qualification or equivalent Level 6 qualification, and demonstrate a minimum of 3 years relevant experience* OR ii) Have an Architect qualification and demonstrate a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience* OR iii) Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development ofexperiential learning and demonstrate at least 5 years relevant experience* (Please include dates) *Relevancy will be determined with due regard to the duties and level of responsibilities set out in the job description for this role APPLICATION PROCESS Application should be made using the on-line application form. BAND: 6 JOB PURPOSE: The post holder will be expected to contribute to the development of best practice in terms of standards and design and to provide technical support within the Development Services Unit. This role will be delivered within a team involved in the active delivery of the Social Housing Development Programme. The post holder will be expected to support NIHE business delivery and our vision and values. REQUIREMENTS: 1.Either i) Be a registered Architect or a graduate in Architecture with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, OR ii) BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma or equivalent level qualification in Architecture or other Construction related discipline with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience. OR iii) Candidates not holding the above level of qualifications but with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience may also be considered.
