Animal Management Technician, Months, With A Potential To Become

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our animal management team here at Northern Regional College. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the college’s animal management courses at both NRC Magherafelt and Coleraine campuses. The role involves preparing practical sessions, supporting delivery of animal handling and theory sessions, maintaining animal welfare standards and caring for a range of small animals (e.g. rabbits, guinea pigs, small rodents, fish etc.). NIFRS has a proud tradition and history of serving the community with distinction.  NIFRS wish to invite applications for the following role: ​​​​​​​Equipment Engineering Technicinan - Job Ref N192/09/2025 As an Equipment Engineering Technician (EET) as part of the Fleet Mechanical & Engineering teams within the three regional workshops you will ensure service delivery of all specialist operational equipment and specialist firefighting platforms is met at all times. As an Equipment Engineering Technician’s (EET) you will be responsible for the Inspection, diagnostics, planned maitenance, emergency repair, fabrication of parts and modification to all equipment and operational support systems within the NIFRS fleet of Operational equipment and support systems. The EET will be expected to work across differing trade disciplines in carrying out their role. Hours of work; Currently 36¼ hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. A Flexible Working Hours Scheme is in operation. In view of the level of this appointment, the post holder will be required to work in such a way as to fulfil the obligations of the post. There is currently two permanent posts based at NIFRS Service Support Centre, 99 Boucher Crescent, Belfast, BT12 6HU. NIFRS has a proud tradition and history of serving the community with distinction.  NIFRS wish to invite applications for the following role: Mechanical Engineering Technician - Job Ref N195/09/2025 ​​​​​​​Three fixed term posts for a duration of 3 years The Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET) is responsible for the Inspection, diagnostics, planned maintenance, emergency repair, bodywork, Coach building and modification to all vehicles and equipment within the NIFRS fleet of Vehicles and Operational equipment. The MET will be expected to work across differing trade disciplines in carrying out their role. Hours of work; Currently 36¼ hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm. A Flexible Working Hours Scheme is in operation. In view of the level of this appointment, the post holder will be required to participate in the Regional Engineering on call Rota which involves working antisocial hours including weekends and late nights in order to support emergency response operations.
