Evenings and Weekend shifts. Desire for personal and professional development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Eligibility to work in Ireland is essential. Good Standard of verbal and written English. Computer literate (experience with online care management systems an advantage). Personal integrity and trustworthiness. Positive attitude. Plumbing Apprentice
Profile of Craft Plumbing work involves the installation and maintenance of plumbing, heating and mechanical services on domestic, commercial and industrial projects, including houses, schools, hospitals, office blocks, apartment blocks, factories as well as pharmaceutical, chemical, food/drink processing facilities. These installations comprise of a wide range of services including pipefitting, welding, soldering on central heating systems, air handling systems, solar heating, hot and cold water supplies, sanitary appliances and sanitation systems, gas pipelines and appliances, compressed air, fire control, steam, chilled water systems and process pipework. GP Liaison, University Maternity Hospital

Expression of Interest 2025 GP Liaison – Cork University Maternity Hospital Who should apply CUMH is looking to recruit a General Practitioner with an active interest and relevant qualification(s) in women’s health. The GP Liaison will be expected to build relationships with and be the main point of contact for GPs through the provision of a high standard liaison, support and communication. He /she will be the link person within CUMH for General Practitioners. They will be responsible to ensure local CUMH care pathways and guidelines are disseminated to GPs in a timely manner in order to facilitate knowledge sharing and professional development. They will be supported in exploring opportunities to conduct audits and clinical research. They will also liaise with the Consultant Obstetrician overseeing the training for GP NCHDs on rotation in CUMH. The job holder will take a leading role in driving attendance to our education events to attract GPs, health practitioners, and other referrers, to our education evenings. They will also act as secretary to the CUMH GP Committee. The time commitment for these roles equates to 1 session per week, morning or afternoon (0.06WTE). Metal Fabrication Apprentice
Profile of Craft The Metal Fabricator’s job includes the reading of drawings, working with materials such as low carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel and aluminium. The fabricator is involved in such industries as constructional steel, pressure vessel, tank and boiler manufacture, ship building and ship repair also general engineering. The skills required are wide and varied. They include skills such as measuring, marking out, cutting and welding materials using different processes and assembly techniques. The Metal Fabricator will spend some time outdoors and may be required to work on heights. The company specializing in Fire, Acoustic, Security and Blast resisting doors and performance solutions. Fireblock are currently looking to hire Apprentice Sheet metal fabricators, to join our production team in Baile Mhic Ire, Macroom, Co. Cork. On successful completion of this Metal Fabrication apprenticeship, the apprentice is awarded a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Metal Fabrication. This apprenticeship consists of four on-the-job phases with FIREBLOCK and three off-the-job phases in an educational organisation. Apprentices will be invited to attend their off-the-job training phases in accordance with the SOLAS scheduling system. Candidates will have the support and mentoring of highly skilled qualified craftsman. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in manufacturing processes, and ability to work on own initiative. Achieved at least Grade O5 in five Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and preferably one Technical subject. Candidate should display a positive learning ethos.
