Assistant Staff Officer
Overall Role and Context South East Technological University (SETU) wishes to recruit an Assistant Staff Officer to support in Academic Timetabling . The role is integral to the proper administration function of the Academic Administration and Student Affairs Office. Working with Heads of Department and the Faculty Offices, the successful candidate will be centrally involved in the administration and processing of Academic Timetabling across multiple departments. This key administration post will be based on the Carlow Campus . SETU is seeking to recruit an Assistant Staff Officer to provide administrative support to the academic Heads of Department in the area of Academic Timetabling. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Heads of Department, the Faculty Offices, and other relevant stakeholders. They will play a central role in the coordination, administration, and processing of academic timetables across multiple departments. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth and effective scheduling of teaching and learning activities, helping to maintain an organised and student-focused academic environment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Timetabling Terms and Conditions Hours of Work: The appointee will be required to work 35 hours per week together with any such additional hours as may be required for the proper discharge of their duties. Salary: Assistant Staff Officer Salary Scale: €38,217 – €54,367 Annual Leave: 23 days annual leave. Annual leave will be in accordance with arrangements authorised by the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science from time to time.
