Trainee Manager
Main purpose of the role: Support the management team in all aspects of the operation of the store while gaining detailed experience in individual departments throughout the store. The ideal candidate will have/be: - 1 years` experience in the retail industry is desirable • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) • Experience balancing cash/tills is desirable • Experience with fresh food • Excellent communication skills • Good delegation skills • Highly driven with a strong work ethic • Commerciality and brand awareness • Passion for grocery retail • Thrive in a fast-paced working environment. The Role • We are looking for Retail Stock Counters to add to our already successful team. • This a casual role which means you can control the days you work • Employment will be carried out on different retail customer sites and stores and travel will vary on a shift-by-shift basis. Certain locations will have minibus transport provided free of charge. • You will be responsible for ensuring stock is counted quickly and accurately using a handheld scanner. • Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time is needed for the role and access equipment such as ladders or steps may have to be used on occasion to reach high stock. Key Skills/ Experience Required • Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and throughout the night when required. As a result, we can only accept applicants 18 years and over. • You must have a 'can do' attitude and be able to work long shifts when required on large counts. • With our innovative business, the technology changes and progresses and therefore being a quick learner is a key skill required. • Any experience of handling stock is an advantage but not a necessity. • A good understanding of the English language is essential. POSITION SUMMARY We currently have an open opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the Premiums team on a temporary basis this Summer.
