Students who attained their Leaving Certificate results this year, school leavers, graduates, and mature learners looking to start a career in accounting and finance should consider applying as the Apprenticeship programme provides an opportunity to work, earn and learn. Leading registered Apprenticeship employers across all sectors – including practice, industry, and the public sector – will be hiring this January. Interested students are advised to apply now to increase their chances of attaining an employer offer and secure their place on the programme. Applicants who would like to apply for the January 2021 intake can apply online via the Accounting Technicians Ireland website. The Accounting Technician Apprenticeship is a two-year, work-based learning programme leading to a Level 6 QQI Advanced Certificate in Accounting. Accounting Technician Apprentices work four days a week with a registered employer and study one day a week on a two-year employment contract. This January, the Apprenticeship programme will be taught through the ATI Academy and classes will be held online enabling students across Ireland to apply. Successful applicants earn at least €19,860 per annum, are given three weeks paid study leave by their employer, and their college tuition is fully funded by SOLAS.
