The purpose of the job is to provide quality General Practitioner medical services to eligible patients who have chosen you as their doctor of choice or who have been assigned to you in accordance with the operational arrangements for the GMS Scheme. The General Practitioner will accept clinical responsibility for persons on their list who need medical treatment and treat them accordingly. When the clinical condition is such that it is required to transfer them to appropriate consultant care, do so, and accept clinical responsibility for them on becoming aware of their discharge from consultant care.

Outreach Day Service Support/care Assistant
Vacancy: Outreach Day Service Support/Care Assistant, Part-time, 15 hours per week, initial 12-month contract. L’Arche Cork is recruiting for the position of Care Assistantto provide an outreach day service for a 65-year-old woman in Cobh, due to her recently-reduced capacity to attend L’Arche’s day service, and to help facilitate her intended return to a much-reduced day service. Expectations of the role of Outreach Day Service Support: · To build a trusting, Person-Centred, relationship with the person you support advocating for her needs, with due regard to her will and preference · To forge a close rapport with the person’s guardian, also residing in the house, via regular communication, to promote a needs-led and responsive service · To promote quality of life for the person you support, enabling access to pastimes, hobbies and supports, via assistive technology (e.g. zoom) and driving · To attend medical appointments with the person you support as required · To communicate frequently with L’Arche, regarding progress, challenges, identified supports etc., to improve support both to the person and to you in your role Requirements for the role: · A minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in social care or equivalent qualification · Minimum 2-years’ experience in intellectual disabilities (related field experience considered) · Managing your time effectively, working autonomously and demonstrating initiative. · Ability to manage behaviours that may challenge · A satisfactory level of IT proficiency for use of online/assistive technology · Commitment to best practice guidelines, to regulations, and to L’Arche policy, especially regarding safeguarding, upholding confidentiality, and accountability CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT The post is offered on a part-time basis, 15 hours a week, for an initial fixed-term period of 12 months. Working Hours: 15 hours per week (spread of hours negotiable) Salary: HSE Care Assistant 27,571 -41,952 Euros per annum, pro rata D.O.E. Annual Leave: Annual Leave will be 25 days per annum, pro-rata. Entitlement to Public Holidays will be in accordance with the Working Time Act 1997.

Children and young adults across Cork and Kerry with Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, children on the Autistic Spectrum and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an interdisciplinary team. . Applications are invited for the following post Senior Psychologist Ref: 34/2025 Permanent Full-time (35 hours per week) Children Disability Network Team 13 – Carrigaline / Kinsale / Bandon, Co. Cork with bases in Carrigaline & Bandon, Co. Cork JOB SUMMARY This post is in Network 13: Carrigaline/Kinsale/Bandon Children’s Disability Network Team (CKB CDNT), working as part of an interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young people, 0-18yrs and their families. The criteria for CNDT is children with complex needs arising from a disability, where those needs require the support of an interdisciplinary disability team. This might include children with intellectual, physical, sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay. These teams are under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE. The successful candidate will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. The Carrigaline/Kinsale/Bandon team is based in Carrigaline and Bandon. Assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided in the context of an interdisciplinary team. The CDNT aims to maximise the child/ young adult’s full potential and works within the context of the family and community, empowering and supporting parents/care givers and family members . The Candidate: Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc Candidates must have professional qualification as per the Department of Health guidelines See job description for full criteria. Have a university degree or diploma (QQI Level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject, AND Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology OR An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health. AND Applicants must have at least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology, no more than three years of which was spent in gaining the post-graduate professional qualification and no less than two years full-time spent in post-qualification experience as a professional psychologist. Years in excess of the permitted three years for completion of the post-graduate training or time not worked will not be taken into consideration when assessing the five years’ experience requirement. Driving Licence Must have a full driving license and means of transport which qualifies you to drive on Irish roads. Age The Public Service Superannuation (Age of Retirement) Act, 2018* set 70 years as the compulsory retirement age for public servants. * Public Servants not affected by this legislation:. P ublic servants recruited between 1 April 2004 and 31 December 2012 (new entrants) have no compulsory retirement age. Public servants recruited since 1 January 2013 are members of the Single Pension Scheme and have a compulsory retirement age of 70.
