Position Description  Applications are invited for the position of Customer Delivery Network Designer (Engineering Officer). The Network Designer, known as an Engineering Officer, is responsible for providing safe network designs within your discipline. These designs will be used by ESB Networks staff and/or contractors to carry out construction work safely on the Electricity Network. The designs shall be carried out in line with relevant standards set down by ESB Network Assets and adhering to Company Standards. Depending upon the specific role assignment the design work may be related to domestic, commercial, and industrial new or increased customer connections. In addition, the design work may be associated with Capital Work Programmes on new or existing overhead or underground assets of voltages varying from LV to 38kV. All design work is required to be completed in a timely manner and in line with the ESB design standards & guidelines and ensuring that ESB Networks Customer Charter standards are adhered to. The successful candidate will be required to manage their own design workload. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work on his / her own initiative but also as part of a larger design team and will be required to follow schedules set down by their design manager. The team is also responsible for the implementation of the regional operations, maintenance and repair plan that forms part of the national operations, maintenance and repair plan, contributing to the development, management, implementation and approval of same. Managing change and transformation activities is a key aspect of this team's responsibility particularly in the initial phases as the regional operations team splits into separate water and wastewater teams and ways of working are standardised. Reporting to the Water Treatment Operations Team Lead, the Water Treatment Operator will have a remit over a geographical area and is responsible for the operation of treatment processes on the assigned treatment plants and carrying out routine maintenance activities on assets for an area, across a variety of sites as and when requested, in accordance with the task schedule. The Water Treatment Operator (Shift) role operates on a 24/7/365 basis therefore working hours for this role will be on a shift rotation pattern. Following a period of training shifts will be assigned on a 24/7 basis year-round. Shifts will be 8 or 12 hours in duration and you will be required to cover day and night shifts. A shift premium will be provided in addition to base salary. Out of hours working will be required and appropriate rates will apply. What do I need to be successful?
