Physiotherapist, Senior, Mallow General Hospital
The person appointed to this post will work as a Senior Physiotherapist in Mallow General Hospital. Mallow General Hospital is located 35 kms north of Cork City serving the population of Cork and the surrounding border counties of Kerry, Limerick and Waterford. Mallow General Hospital is a Model 2 Hospital with 71 inpatient beds. The hospital provides inpatient, outpatient and day patient services. The services provided in the hospital include – general medicine, cardiology, respiratory, gerontology and gastro-enterology. 23 additional beds are opening in the second quarter of 2026 increasing capacity to 94 beds. In patient medical activity is supported by a Medical Assessment Unit and a High Dependency Unit. Mallow General Hospital also provides elective day surgery, endoscopy, injuries unit, outpatient department, laboratory, physiotherapy, and radiology including CT scanning and ultrasound services. The academic partner is University College Cork and Mallow General Hospital facilitates medical students, nursing students and allied health professional students. Individual sites/ location will be indicated at expression of interest stage to panel members for each individual job. The Physiotherapy Service in MGH provides a service to all the wards /units and departments including Acute Medical Assessment Unit, Local Injuries Unit, and OPD Physiotherapy. There is a strong emphasis on effective MDT working in MGH. MGH Physiotherapy Department currently has a staff of 7.5 WTE. The department also has Physiotherapy Students on Clinical Placements throughout the year. MGH Physiotherapy Department works closely with colleagues working in Health Regions Community Services such as Physiotherapy and with CDH cardiac & respiratory outreach services in the North Cork region.

Regular travel will be required. Contract Offered : Full-time, Permanent. Working Hours / Shifts : 40 hours per week. Start and finish times will vary depending on business needs and may include some weekends. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Access NI check. What does the Operations Manager role involve? This role is responsible for the management of the Randox Health clinics and operations in Ireland. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities: • Planning and opening of new clinics to meet the Randox Health operational standard. • Ensuring clinic facilities are fit for purpose and meet the Randox Health standard. • Recruitment and management of staff and resources to achieve required service. • Appraising, training and continued development of staff. • Ensuring compliance with contracts, relevant legislation and regulations. • Reporting contract performance trends and issues to service • Representing the organisation at external events and off-site testing. • Development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices. • Coordinating with quality management to carry out internal audits, reporting of incidents and implementing corrective/preventative actions. • Ensure effective teamwork and communication with staff throughout the business. • Help build external clinical relationships and drive commercial business activities within the clinic. Successful candidates will be required to commence on Monday 12th January 2026 in Bantry General Hospital, Cork. This is a 6 month post. Bantry General Hospital (BGH) provides acute general services to the population of a unique, rural, very large geographical area encompassing West Cork, South Kerry and many inhabited islands. BGH is part of the Cork University Hospital Group (CUHG) The catchment area is geographically the largest in Ireland with a population of at least 60,000 which is conservatively estimated to double to 120,000 during the six summer months as a result of tourism and summer migration.
