Auto req ID: 262789BR Job Description We are on the lookout for a Financial Planning and Analysis Graduate Accountant to join our Finance team in Little Island on a 2 and a half year graduate training programme. We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. The successful candidate will have the opportunity of working with the Manufacturing Overhead and Compensation and Benefits (MOH) team on a two and a half year graduate training programme. He/she will train as a Qualified Accountant through a recognised accountancy body and gain sufficient relevant experience at PepsiCo to complement their studies. The role provides exposure to a complex environment, and global customer base, planning and analysis, engagement with the local business teams and senior management locally and within PepsiCo. There is also excellent opportunity to drive an agenda of delivering best in class processes and practices to enhance business support. Principal Accountabilities: Responsible for BPC System Processes for Month/Period close, including scheduling of packages Responsible for month end/period end reconciliation of MOH sector costs and variances Responsible for reconciliation to Reporting and Flowthrough models Preparation of Forecast/Plan system set up, loading plant submissions and reconciliation to Reporting and Flowthrough models Prepare actuals/forecast/plan analysis templates Consolidation of plant submissions actuals/plan/forecasts for analysis Support HQ MOH analyst in actuals tracking, recurring monthly journals Support Plant analyst with headcount tracking for Front Line Operations Prepare and issue monthly actual reports to budget holders Process improvement, testing and validation of new functionality and reports Qualifications/Requirements Qualifications / Requirements : Essential skills: Accounting degree or equivalent Excellent analytical skills including high degree of proficiency in excel and Powerpoint Excellent Interpersonal/Communication skills (both written and verbal). Results orientated and commitment to achieving objectives. Self-starter with ability to work autonomously, as well as being flexible. Ability to integrate well within a team environment. This fast-paced R&D Data and Engineering team focuses on the development of PepsiCo’s diverse R&D Applications & Data platforms by bringing innovative ideas and skills, making a direct impact on our ability to drive business action through the provision of connected applications & data insights. The Graduate will develop knowledge and understanding of delivering end to end solutions using Agile delivery processes, building capabilities in solutions through prototyping & modelling, and delivering full stack implementations. Role Includes: Supporting the delivery of Data Operations projects, contributing to Data Platform capabilities in the areas of Ingredients, Suppliers and Plants. Responsibility for phases including Use Case Analysis, Design and Solution delivery. Contributing to the sustain of existing solutions, and definition and development of new capabilities, involving elements like data pipelines, traditional and low-code application development and analytics/visualizations. Utilising contemporary processes and solutions (DevOps, Azure services, Power BI, SQL, Adobe XD, Enterprise Architect). Building data expertise and own data quality for ingestion pipelines. Engagement with Subject Matter Expert to determine requirements, guide communications and end-user engagement. Working with internal resources and 3rd Party vendors to deliver technical solutions. Working with IT Infrastructure and Information Security teams to ensure relevant provisioning of resources and adherence to security requirements. Thinking independently to solve difficult data and solution design problems Developing and recommending innovative solutions and approaches to solving business and technical problems. Supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Qualifications/Requirements BSc in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems or a related field is ideal. Strong interest in Data Operations and delivery of end-to-end solutions. Understanding of Full Stack implementation – including considerations of infrastructure, platforms, databases, and security. Knowledge and skill using SQL, Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Storage, Databricks), Power BI or related technologies. Experience of recognised IT delivery processes and methodology. Excellent communication both verbal and written, and organization skills Flexibility regarding priority changes, uncertainty, complexity. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within the team. Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated.
