A warm and welcoming place for relatives, visitors, and the general public to come and relax, the 35-seat coffee shop is situated in tranquil surroundings and serves high quality produce as well as providing excellent customer service. Led by the Coffee Shop Manager and supported by Hospice volunteers, the Coffee Shop Supervisor will create an environment reflecting the ethos and work of Northern Ireland Hospice by building a positive reputation for quality and outstanding service while injecting the necessary personality to create a warmth of welcome expected by our clientele. The post holders will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the Old School House Café and will be required to support and deputise for the Coffee Shop Manager as together their team pursue the financial and social targets required by Northern Ireland Hospice regarding income generation. PURPOSE AND FUNCTION OF THE POST: The person appointed will be responsible to the Community Centres & Halls Supervisors for a wide range of duties primarily in connection with the Community Centres and Halls throughout the Borough of Ards and North Down.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.     The Caretaker will be a responsible keyholder for any building allocated for work and will oversee activities taking place and maintain centres in a safe and clean condition. 2.     Use various items of equipment to ensure the cleanliness of the building and maintain stocks of cleaning materials. 3.     Cleaning of the facilities to a high standard at all times. 4.     Responsible for the accurate and timely keeping of all records which are pertinent to the buildings, including all health & safety checks. 5.     Setting up and dismantling of all equipment inside and out. 6.     Reporting to Supervisors any problems/issues in a timely manner. 7.     Delivery of customer service to a high quality at all times including showing the facilities to prospective users and directing them to the Leisure Services office to discuss any further requirements 8.     Performing simple maintenance tasks. 9.     Ensuring that the facilities are used in a safe manner and by the correct groups and reporting any irregularities. 10.
