Job Summary: In this role, you will assist qualified toolmakers with the maintenance and repair of all moulds, jigs and fixtures in operation at West. You will work under the direct supervision of a qualified toolmaker and report to the Toolroom Supervisor. The Apprentice Toolmaker will also fulfil all the requirements and college block release training modules as directed by Solas in order to achieve fully qualified Toolmaker status. Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist
The post holder will provide a comprehensive Occupational Therapy service and lead the team operating the Rheumatology Occupational Therapy Service of CHI. Clinical duties assigned to this post-holder are within the Rheumatology Service predominately in CHI at Crumlin however clinics are also run at CHI at Connolly which the post holder may be required to attend. The National Paediatric Rheumatology Service is based in CHI at Crumlin and the Occupational Therapy Service provides input for its inpatient and outpatient caseloads with interventions involving 1:1 intervention as well as group work. The post holder will lead the integration of the Occupational Therapy Rheumatology Services across all CHI sites; and will have the remit to lead the integration and development of standardised pathways across the various sites, in the lead up to the new hospital. This post therefore offers wonderful opportunities for leadership and strategic planning. The post holder will maintain appropriate clinical skills and leadership competencies, to provide clinical services to children and young person’s attending the Rheumatology OT services; whilst supporting junior members of staff to carry out their clinical duties. The post holder will have responsibility for the supervision of staff. The post holder will also offer support to the staff working within the Rheumatology OT service across all sites, regarding the service in its on-going development. Research Technician
Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has two vacancies for a Research Technician; one on Inland Fisheries Ireland’s National Research Survey Programme (covering the national fish monitoring programme in rivers and lakes, including Water Framework Directive) and the other on the Climate Change Mitigation Research Programme. These roles will be responsible for providing technical support to the Research Officer/Senior Research Officer responsible for day to day delivery of part of the relevant research programme. The technicians will carry out and assist in the necessary fieldwork using standard methodologies and assist in the compilation of relevant biotic and abiotic information for Irish lakes and rivers. Fisheries Assistant
Inland Fisheries Ireland has a vacancy for a Fisheries Assistant to join the Office of Public Works Climate Resilience Research Project (OPWCRP). The primary focus of this role will be in arterially drained and flood relief catchments, but the successful candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues working in near natural catchments on the Climate Change Mitigation Research Programme. The project, through targeted evidence-based research and monitoring, aims to assess the impact of climate change on the Irish fisheries sector in drained Irish catchments. The outcomes of the project will inform the Office of Public Works and IFI how to maximise potential environmental gain through climate resilience measures. The successful candidate will provide support to the Senior Research Officer (SRO)and Research Officer (RO) leading the OPWCRP programme.
