Jigsaw Clinician
POSITION SUMMARY: Jigsaw clinicians offer short-term therapeutic supports to young people aged 12-25 years who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This usually involves 1:1 work with the young person and sometimes it can include other family members as well. Our clinicians come from diverse professional backgrounds encompassing qualifications in social work, occupational therapy, mental health nursing, clinical/counselling/educational psychology, and psychotherapy, and they work as part of transdisciplinary teams based at one of our 15 services across the country. All of our clinicians share the same scope of practice to support the goals of our young people in a collaborative, respectful, and evidence-informed manner while drawing on their own unique training, experience, and skills. Clinical Nurse Manager, IV Vascular Service
Purpose of the Role The post holder plays a pivotal role in the coordination, organisation, and management of clinical activities and services within the IV Vascular Nursing Team. The CNM1 is responsible for ensuring that the highest standard of care is consistently delivered to children and their families, in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives of Children’s Health Ireland (CHI). The IV Vascular Team at CHI at Temple Street provides specialised, expert care in the insertion and management of intravenous access devices. This includes peripheral intravenous cannulation, midline catheters, and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs). The IV Vascular Nursing Team provides a hospital-wide service, supporting all clinical areas including Neonatal Unit, Emergency Department, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and Inpatient wards. The team delivers care across all paediatric age groups, from pre-term infants to adolescents. Indications for vascular access include administration of fluids, medications, and blood products, Blood sampling for therapeutic monitoring and diagnostic procedures (e.g. MRI, CT scans) In addition to vascular access expertise, the IV Vascular Nursing Team plays a critical role in emergency response. Team members carry the cardiac arrest bleep and respond to all cardiac and respiratory arrest calls across ward areas and the Emergency Department. Essential Criteria: · Be registered in the general and/or paediatric division of the live register maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. · Proficiency in peripheral intravenous cannulation. · Evidence of ongoing education / continuous professional development. · Have proven clinical and managerial ability, leadership, communication and organisational skills.
