Residual heat from electricity generation is used to dry locally sourced woodfibre that is then processed into high-energy fuel pellets, displacing 750 million litres of oil in homes, commercial premises and industry. Purpose of the Job As a member of a small team, the job holder will assist with stockpiling logs/residues and keeping the different mills on site supplied with logs. Project Director Capital Planner
The role holder will provide strategic leadership in the planning and delivery of complex, high-value capital projects that are central to the future infrastructure of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). This role is critical in aligning capital investment with the organisation’s long-term strategic, operational, and estate goals. The role holder will lead significant capital projects including: 1. A new Police College providing modern, fit-for-purpose training and operational facilities. 2. Crime Campus, supporting the rationalisation of the Belfast estate and new operating model(s). 3. A new Police Museum, designed to preserve and present the history of policing in Northern Ireland as an inclusive educational and cultural resource. The Project Director will be responsible for scoping, designing, and implementing the capital programmes, including developing business cases, securing funding approvals, managing multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing project delivery. This will involve establishing effective project governance, managing risk, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with legal, environmental, and safety standards.

Some of the key duties include: • Routine use of the RCLS Laboratory Information Management System (LIMs). • The performance of various analytical procedures including various manual screening and automated methods covering a wide variety of clinical diagnostic tests. • The preparation and handling of samples and diagnostic reagents and operation of various automated analytical systems. • The accurate maintenance of analytical records, preparation of validation plans, review of analytical data and report writing to gather, evaluate and conclude a result. • The routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instrumentation. • Perform troubleshooting on technical issues. • Review and planning of validation for proposed processes- new, developed or existing related to clinical diagnostic testing. • Assist with the training of staff. • Working to timelines / deadlines as guided by the Technical Manager or Technical Team Leader. • The detailed writing of reports demonstrating rigorous analysis of results. • Preparation and presentation of R&D Design Reviews to Senior Management. • The meeting of targets on established validation projects. • The familiarisation and keeping up to date with current methods and technologies for a given project. Essential criteria: • Qualified to at least bachelors level in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology or a Life Science subject. • HCPC Biomedical Scientist registration • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. • Experience in validation procedures and relevant project management skills. • Experience in analysis and documentation of large data sets. • Experience in the operation of clinical chemistry, immunoassay or haematology instrumentation. Desirable : • Experience in training staff members. • Experience in the use of project management software.
