The service provides a range of residential care, outreach and specialist services for adults in the DNCC catchment area. Services are provided within a multi-disciplinary environment consisting of health and social care professionals, nursing, consultants in learning disability psychiatry and healthcare staff. The Community Support MHID Team in Swords provides services and supports to service users living in the catchment area. Residential services are provided in St. Ita’s Campus and in a range of supported living environments in the community. St Joseph’s Mental Health Intellectual Disability Services (SJMHIDS) is currently regulated by the Mental Health Commission. · To be responsible for the provision of a high quality Speech and Language Therapist service in accordance with standards of professional practice. · To work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the population it serves in line with the objectives of the organisation. · To work with the Speech and Language Therapist Manager in ensuring the co-ordination, development and delivery of a quality, client centred Speech and Language Therapist service across and between networks in the geographical area. Provide advice and guidance to management and employees on safety issues 5. Implement and monitor compliance with standard operating procedures. 6. Support Risk and COSHH Assessment processes. 7. Carry out regular safety inspections and audits. 8. Liaise with Engineering and Facilities Departments on Contractor arrangements and site projects as required. 9. Understand and follow the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
