Overall Purpose of the Post: Overall responsibility for the provision of administrative support to the Children’s Disability Network Team in Galway which will include ensuring the smooth running of the assigned administration function and taking on the responsibility of being the local Health & Safety Competent Person. This includes provision of support to the Children’s Disability Network Manager and all of the teams involved in the provision of services to children. Key Working Relationships: Enable Ireland delivers services using the Social Model of Disability and as such has a wide range of stakeholders with whom strong professional relationships need to be forged and fostered on an ongoing basis. These stakeholders will be clearly identified. Key Duties/Overview of Areas of Responsibility • To provide comprehensive administrative support, such as typing of correspondence, reports, presentations, managing incoming/outgoing mail, diary management and other administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, provision of statistics and chairing or taking minutes at team meetings. Monitor and action CDNT5 Galway emails. • To act as Health & Safety Competent Person which will include attending relevant training, undertake risk assessments, maintain the local risk register, undertake chair role for the local Health & Safety committee and to carry out daily / weekly checks where necessary under the Health & Safety policy. File and upload reports to the National Incident Management System (NIMS). Submit monthly reports to the National Health & Safety Committee. Communicate updates and new directives of a Health & Safety nature to all staff. • Input data into the National Ability Support System (NASS) through the year and liaise with relevant stakeholders, including the Health Research Board (HRB). • Pool bookings & queries – respond to general public, organisations, and companies by phone & e-mail on queries of pool use. Radiographer
Radiology Department - Tipperary University Hospital (TippUH) The Radiology Department provides a multi-modality Diagnostic Imaging Service to the population of Tipperary and the surrounding catchment area of Limerick, Waterford and Kilkenny. The department aims to deliver a highly efficient and effective service both in the acute setting and for the wider community. Radiology services include: General Radiography incorporating 24/7 Emergency Medicine service; CT; MRI; Ultrasound; Dexa; and Fluoroscopy. We support the community by providing access to X-ray at our satellite unit in Our Lady’s Campus, Cashel where there is a busy Injuries Unit in situ. Ultrasound and Dexa OP lists are also managed in Cashel. Overall in 2024, there were in excess of 83,000 radiology examinations performed. The hospital provides 24/7 Emergency department service incorporating stroke FAST positive response. In addition, the facility provides acute medical in-patient services, elective surgery, intensive and critical care, paediatrics, maternity/gynaecological care and outpatient care. The Radiology Department staff complement includes Consultant Radiologists, Radiography Services Manager, Clinical Specialist Radiographers, Senior Radiographers, Basic Grade Radiographers, Radiology Nurse and Secretarial support. The TippUH radiology department is partnered with UCC for radiography education and we facilitate clinical placements for graduate entry radiography programmes. We support flexible working conditions for staff and have a dynamic team environment, with ongoing access to CPD.
