Lecturer in Cybersecurity – Computer Forensics (Part-time) Due to our continued expansion at City Colleges, we are seeking applications from interested candidates to join our – City Colleges’ team for our upcoming Diploma in Cybersecurity programme, scheduled to commence this September. Social Care Worker, St Raphael's
St Raphael’s Service is an Adult Intellectual Disability Service situated in East Cork It currently caters for circa 80 adults with an ID and / or Autism. The service has a base in Youghal and has a number of Community Houses in the surrounding environment of West Waterford and East Cork. The aim of our services for people with an ID and physical or sensory disabilities is to promote and maintain better health both in the person with a disability and their carer. We deliver day and residential services. This is a service, which has undergone significant changes in line with National Policy and has progressed from an institutional model of care to a community based person-centred model. Six Health Regions have been established within the HSE, on the basis of the geographical boundaries agreed by the Government in July 2019 and they will be operational from 2024. Each Health Region will be tasked with population specific planning, resourcing and delivery of health and social care services for the needs of its unique population. This will result in improved accountability and governance in terms of finance and performance, while also bringing decision-making closer to the frontline. Health Regions will enable and empower staff to provide services that are: · Integrated, locally planned and delivered · Easier to access and navigate · Available closer to home Health Regions are geographically-based units with clearly defined populations. They align community and hospital services within specific areas. The HSE will retain a strong but leaner central organisation, with more service provision developed at a local level. The HSE South West Health Region will manage and deliver all public health and social care services in Cork and Kerry. HSE South West includes all hospital and community healthcare services in the region. This includes: · South/South West Hospital Group (SSWHG) · Cork / Kerry Community Healthcare (CKCH) The Department of Population and Public Health is also now aligned with this health region. A panel may be formed for Weight Management Service for Children & Young People from which current and future Dublin and Midland Regional, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled. Details of Service Weight Management Service for Children & Young People The Weight Management Service for Children & Young People is a new service, developed as an integral part of the paediatric primary care and child health service in the CHO as part of the Slaintecare Healthy Communities Initiative. It will provide co-ordinated transdisciplinary assessment and treatment for eligible children and young people with overweight and obesity. The multi-disciplinary team consists of Community Medical Doctor, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Family Key Worker and administrative staff. It will cover CHN 3,5,8 and 9. The service is aligned to Level 1b of the HSE Model of Care for the Management of Overweight and Obesity (2020) or Weight Management Service for Children and Young People. It will be closely integrated with community support services for healthier behaviours and acute services for specialist assessment and treatments, facilitating end-to-end care for overweight and obesity. The team will be co-located and delivering clinics and services in communities responsive to individuals’ needs, providing the right care, at the right time in the right place. Weight Management Service for Children & Young People supports training and capacity building across primary care services for early identification and intervention for weight management. Weight Management Service for Children & Young People staff will work with the HSE Obesity Clinical Programme to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate a standardised, evidence-based model of service delivery. Purpose of the Post This position occupies a pivotal role within the Weight Management Service for Children & Young People organisational structure. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of the Weight Management Service for Children & Young People to meet the needs of children, young people and their families. They will be a member of the team with protected time to coordinate the multidisciplinary aspects of the team’s activities. The role of the Clinical Coordinator is central to coordinating the self-managed work of the individual team members, to ensure the team functions effectively. . The purpose of this post is to: · Lead on the day-to-day operations of the Weight Management Service for Children & Young People including service planning, engagement with key stakeholders to build appropriate referral pathways, scheduling, clinical care co-ordination and reporting. · Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to: provide evidence-based care to children, young people and their families attending the Weight Management Service for Children & Young People · In line with the national care guidelines and standards; build capacity across primary care for early identification and intervention for weight management and appropriate referral. · Work with the HSE Obesity Clinical Programme to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate a standardised, evidence-based model of service delivery. · Co-ordinate the administrative functions of the MDT including team meetings, maintaining shared records, communication, supporting professional relationships and interdisciplinary working to ensure effective care delivery as an MDT. · Liaise with all healthcare professionals and other stakeholders locally and nationally to facilitate engagement with the service, learning and sharing best practice and effective operation of the service.
Laboratory Business Manager, University Hospital
Cork University Hospital Laboratory Medicine Department is a clinically led service that provides diagnostic laboratory testing and monitoring for patients in the South-West of Ireland in conjunction with a number of other smaller public and private hospital laboratories. Laboratory services include Clinical Chemistry, Immunology, Blood Transfusion, Haematology, Clinical Microbiology, Pathology and Molecular Services. Phlebotomy and the Post Mortem Room are also part of Laboratory Medicine. Most elements of the laboratory are accredited to ISO15189:2022. The laboratory forms part of the Diagnostics Directorate and is led by the Clinical Director. CUH Laboratory Medicine works from within CUH to provide services for the immediate population of 550,000 persons and a supra-regional service to include a total of 1.1 million persons. The laboratory serves in-patients and GP patients, the latter of which comprise as much as 58% of the work in the Blood Sciences Department. Future developments will include further regional alignment as the regional group structure takes shape and further development of molecular services
