Job Description In conjunction with the Assistant Principal Officer, the Procurement Officer will have responsibility, under general direction, for the procurement unit in Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board. The Procurement Officer will have responsibility for resource management, implementation of the Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board Procurement Policy, tendering for goods, services and capital works, contract management, expenditure analysis, reporting and monitoring compliance with the procurement policy across the organisation. Hours of Work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities The Procurement Officer, reporting to the Assistant Principal Officer, will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board procurement policy. The goal of the procurement unit is to ensure probity and compliance for the procurement of all goods, services and capital works, to guide stakeholders in effective and compliant procurement, to achieve value for money for Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board and to achieve excellence in contract management. ROLE Sláintecare Local Development Officer (Administrative Officer Grade VII) Healthy Ireland Co-ordinator (Administrative Officer Grade VII) Introduction The Sláintecare Local Development Officer and Healthy Ireland Co-ordinator (Grade VII) positions hold functional responsibility for the management and delivery of their respective Healthy Ireland Programme areas. The Sláintecare Local Development Officer and Healthy Ireland Co-ordinator is responsible for managing the day to day operations of their programme and contributing to strategic and policy making decisions within Cork City Council. The post holder is expected to contribute to the development and implementation of policies and strategies and to work closely with elected councillors, Oireachtas members and senior managers to deliver services to the highest standard. They may also represent the Local Authority on committees and at meetings, including Local Area Committee meetings and Strategic Policy Committee meetings, and may be asked to report on progress in their respective section or department. Senior Staff Officer
Nature of Post Permanent full-time position 35 hours per week. Salary Scale €57,323 - €70,031 pro rata (including long service increment). Rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Location Appointment is to the Louth and Meath Education and Training Board scheme. Reporting/Accountability Relationship The Grade VI Officer reports to the Grade VII Officer/APO/Director of Organisation Support and Development. Post Summary/Purpose The successful applicant will have responsibility for the day to day administration of work within a section and have supervisory responsibility, under general direction of a higher grade ensuring that LMETB complies with current legislation relevant to the section and having regard to Department of Education and Skills guidelines and LMETB policies and procedures. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Welcomes patients and their families professionally and delivers excellence in the administration of the patient episode. Ensures that the patient is properly identified and that all records including medical record and computer record match, and are verified as correct by the patient.
