University Kerry Hospital is the second largest of the Health Service Executive –South’s seven acute hospitals. The hospital provides acute general hospital services to the population of Co. Kerry (180,554) and additionally to a proportion of the populations of West Limerick and North Cork. The hospital has 275 acute general beds; 50 Acute Psychiatric beds, 46 elderly continuing care beds and a 24/7 Emergency Department which cares for 43,000 emergency presentations a year. The hospital treats over 24,000 inpatients per annum and approximately 54,000 patients attend the Outpatients Department. In addition, the Kerry area has a very large visiting population. It is estimated that there is over 2 million tourists visiting this region annually, principally during the summer months. Purpose of the Post The post of CNM2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership. The person appointed to this post is required to support the principle that the care of the patient always comes first and will approach their work with flexibility and enthusiasm necessary to make this principle a reality for every patient in UHK. Deli Manager
Primary Functions: The Deli Manager is responsible for the successful day-to-day operation and profitability of the Deli Department. Essential Functions • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures with respect to department operations, quality, safe food handling to ensure compliance state, federal and OSHA safety and sanitation regulations. • Tracks sales, manages inventory, and orders merchandise to ensure freshness, meet customer demands and ensure profitability of department. • Schedules staff and delegates work assignments. • Provides training on department procedures, safe food handling, and sanitation regulations. • Cooperates with other departments in special promotions to help drive sales. • Ensures that staff work safely and comply with local, state, and government weights, measures and labeling laws. • Oversees and maintains merchandise presentation (freshness, cleanliness, organizing, stocking and removing). • Greets and takes orders from customers. • Any other duties as assigned. Competencies The Deli Manager must be self-motivated, flexible, conscientious, organized, and have a good attention to detail. Also, must have good interpersonal and communication skills, and interface well with management, co-workers, and the public. The Deli Manager must have the ability to motivate employees, work in fast-paced environment, have good judgement and full knowledge of deli services, and food safety regulations.
Deli Assistant
A deli assistant's duties primarily revolve around providing excellent customer service while preparing and handling food in a deli setting . This includes tasks like slicing meats and cheeses, preparing sandwiches, and ensuring the deli area is clean and well-stocked. They also assist customers with orders, answer questions, and handle transactions.
