This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Groundskeeper to join our Garden team at Ballyfin; working across 614 acres of natural beauty. Main Purpose of Job:Reporting directly to the Estate Manager, this role is responsibile for maintaining the grounds of the Estate in a clean, presentable and safe manner at all times.Main Duties include:<ul><li>Mows lawns, trims weeds, and rakes leaves as assigned</li><li>Picks up and removes debris and leaves prior to mowing a designated area</li><li>Trims bushes, shrubs, and hedges as required</li><li>Cuts and removes trees as needed</li><li>Applies fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed</li><li>Performs routine maintenance on machinery and equipment</li><li>Responsible for clearing roadways, pathways of leaves/debris across estate</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li><li>Drain and clean water figures as required</li></ul>This is not a full and final list of duties and responsibilities and you may be required to carry out other task as directed.Skills/Attributes Required:<ul><li>Previous experience in a similar position is preferred.</li><li>Ability to operate various types of machinery and equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.</li><li>Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.</li><li>Excellent time management skills.</li><li>Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team</li><li>Chain Saw Certificate is desirable</li><li>Full clean Irish Drivers licence is required</li></ul>Physical requirements:<ul><li>Prolonged periods walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.</li><li>Must be physically able to operate machinery and equipment.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 20KG</li><li>Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.</li></ul>
