SOCIAL CARE WORKERS PERSON CENTRED WING LONGFORD SERVICES (Granard & Surrounding Areas) VARIOUS CONTRACTS We are recruiting Social Care Workers to work as part of a dynamic team supporting in our Person Centred Wing Services. The successful candidates will be provided with the opportunity to support individuals with independent living skills, community inclusion and the promotion of their personal health and wellbeing. We are looking for ambitious and enthusiastic Social Care Workers to support, encourage and motivate individuals to lead a fulfilling life. The roster will include days, weekends, waking nights and sleepovers. Requirements: · Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications); · Knowledge of HIQA Standards; · Full current driving licence; · Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable; · Excellent organisational, logistical and I.T skills an advantage; · Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role. HOURS OF WORK You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis, this means your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive your contracted hours each period. Your working hours will include a range of shifts, including; mornings, evenings, weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis, with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday. Responsibilities will include maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety in the kitchen, carrying out cleaning duties as specified by the kitchen manager such as, sweeping and mopping floors and operating pot-washing machinery. The focus of the role will be to lead initiatives in supporting the individuals to live a life of their choosing and what matters most to them. The role will support the individuals to become connected and valued within their local community, to provide opportunities for new experiences and to assist each person in developing real and authentic relationships.
