Senior Psychologist In Psycho-oncology WTE
Purpose of the Role The post holder will work within the National Paediatric Psycho-Oncology Service within the National Children Cancer Service (NCCS) providing a service to children and adolescents with cancer and their families. This service is led by a Principal Psychologist and it was launched by the minister of health in 2023 together with the CAYA Psycho-Oncology Model of care. The post holder will work directly with children and adolescents with cancer (Malignant Haematology and Oncology). Many patients will be attending long term from infancy to adolescence and the post holder will need to be able to support children across the life span, focusing on supporting both patients and families through cancer diagnosis and treatment (including end of treatment, relapse, palliation and end of life). A key role of the post holder will be to ensure that psychological factors are taken into account in the children’s and adolescents’ medical assessment and treatment. Essential Criteria:

Senior Library Assistant
Overall Role and Context SETU is seeking a Senior Library Assistant, Grade V . The successful candidate will undertake key duties in the Library as outlined below. As a member of the library rostering team, the post holder will be required to work evenings and weekends to provide cover during library opening hours. The successful candidate may be assigned to any of a very wide range of areas or activities carried out in a university library, in any of its campuses. The job will involve regular contact with students, staff, the public, and organisations and individuals at all levels, where discretion, tact, courtesy, and judgement will have to be constantly exercised. All jobs in the Library demand a good knowledge and skill in the use of Information and Communication Technologies, and appointees will be expected to use new techniques and technologies as they arise. SETU will provide the necessary training as appropriate. Principal Duties and Responsibilities The Senior Library Assistant will be responsible for overseeing and implementing library developments. As a member of the library rostering team, the post holder will be required to work evenings and weekends to provide cover during library opening hours. The Senior Library Assistant may be assigned to any of a very wide range of areas or activities carried out in an Institute Library, in any of its campuses. Additionally, he/she will have supervisory responsibility for a section/function of the library’s activities and will normally work under the direction of one of the Senior Library staff. Key duties include: Hours of Work The appointee will be required to work 35 hours per week . A flexible approach to work is needed, as some roles may require evening work during the academic year and Saturday work occasionally throughout the year. Salary Grade V Salary Scale : €51,211 – €61,251 Annual Leave 25 days annual leave. Annual leave will be in accordance with arrangements authorised by the Minister for Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science , from time to time.
