Accommodation Assistant
Accommodation Assistant – Permanent, Full-Time The successful Accommodation Assistant will be expected to maintain a high standard of hygiene in all areas of the hospital. Background experiences in thorough cleaning in hospital care settings are an advantage. Cleaning duties will be performed as per standards set down. Responsibilities and Duties: · Sanitize and disinfect all surfaces, in areas such as but not limited to patient bedrooms and bathrooms, public areas, stairs, lifts, nurses’ office and stations, meeting rooms and offices. · Restock bathroom/ toilet rolls, hand soap, hand paper towels,etc. · Perform general cleaning tasks such as but not limited to removal of household waste, recycle waste and clinical waste. · Perform general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, polishing and spot cleaning. · Carry out detailed cleaning such as window washing, carpet cleaning and high dusting. · Use machinery such as scrubber dryers, steam cleaner, buffer and scrubbers. · Care and maintain equipment. · Observe and report maintenance faults. · Use cleaning agents according to manufacturer’s instructions. · Ensure adequate stock of cleaning supplies. · Adhere to cost controls and sustainability measures. Consultant In Paediatric Palliative Care
Purpose of role: The post holder will support the expansion of the service thus helping ensure that all children with LLCs attending CHI will have access to the PPC Team/Service as needed. Increasing the number of Consultants on the team will facilitate better links with, and integration into, areas within CHI where there are higher numbers of children with LLCs (for example PICU, NICU, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Cardiac ward, Metabolic Unit etc) The consultant will act as a resource to the community based clinical nurse co-ordinators for children with life-limiting conditions who have been appointed regionally to support children with life limiting conditions ensuring best possible care in the home. The post holder will participate in a national advisory service as outlined the National Model of Care for Paediatric Healthcare Services (2016) and with Clinical governance and operational arrangements for supporting a model of care for children with life limiting conditions towards the end of life in the community in Ireland (2020). This includes participating in a national advisory on call rota accessed via Children’s Health Ireland. The consultant will act as a resource to the community based clinical nurse co-ordinators for children with life-limiting conditions who have been appointed regionally to support children with life limiting conditions ensuring best possible care in the home.
