Utilities Maintenance Technician (Shift)
About the Role The purpose of the Utilities Maintenance Technician role is to lead the daily maintenance and asset care activities throughout the site’s utilities and process areas. You will ensure supply of all key services such as Water, Electricity, Chilling, Compressed Air, CIP sets, Gas steam, CO2, wastewater treatment plant and product as required. You will work closely with other departments such as process, quality, production. In this role, you will help to drive to reduce running costs of the area to help support Clonmel's production requirements. You will perform daily checks and maintenance works on all equipment within the process, utility wastewater treatment plant and crushing plant. While doing all of this, you will ensure site safety, quality, food, and hygiene standards is adhered to all times. A Safety first mindset is key in this role. Note that this role rotates on rotational morning and night shifts. Responsibilities include the following:
Projector Worker, TSO
The TSO role has been initiated as a customised model of support for tenants of approved housing bodies, typically experiencing Mental Health difficulties, at risk of losing their tenancy. To engage people, conduct an assessment and make appropriate referrals to health and social services inclusive of Tusla where appropriate. The officer will be assigned to Tipperary/Kilkenny and will provide cover to their colleague due to training and leave. It is informed by the National and Local Housing Strategies for People with a Disability, Sharing the Vision (Dept of Health, 2020), Housing for All- A new housing plan for Ireland (Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, 2021) and the HSE’s National Recovery Framework (HSE, 2018). Funding has been sourced from the Carlow/Kilkenny HSE Mental Health Services and the Good Shepherd Centre to employ a part time support worker (19 hours per week) and a healthcare worker/cleaner (15 hours per week) through the Grant Aid process. Secure tenancies with support are recognized as the way forward for many of those with complex needs. The TSO Project now requires two officers x 39hrs per week to support tenants under the programme. The Good Shepherd Centre in conjunction with Mental Health Service Area 5 Kilkenny and in partnership with Carlow County Council/Tipperary and Kilkenny will provide TSO support and a recovery orientated tenancy sustainment programme.

Purpose of the Post The Team leader in conjunction with the Service manager will oversee all aspects of effective service delivery in the provision of support within the Emergency environments, Outreach and to manage the service on a day-to-day basis so that the incidence of homeless is minimised and positive outcomes are achieved for all service users. In conjunction with the Service Manager: · Provide leadership to developing and sustaining a service designed to assist staff to support service users to resolve their problems and live a good quality life. · Develop and evaluate service plans to ensure services are delivered in line with changing national and regional policies, operational plans of HSE- Social Inclusion/Primary Care requirements to address the needs of service users are met. · Inform relevant strategies and plans in response to changing demographics, legislation, national policy, local strategies and plans and to the views of the community and stakeholders. · Manage the project workers in implementation of Care & Case Management based on the HSE National Drugs Rehabilitation Framework and facilitate the provision of care and support with a health and social care setting. · To develop and sustain a service that effectively and efficiently delivers high quality personal outcomes for customers. · To manage an effective out of hours rota for emergency accommodation locations, assuming part of the on call rota.
Project Worker, Maternity Leave
The OFD project seeks to develop effective and sustainable Emergency accommodation and services (through housing, as an alternative to hostels and hotels) for families and single people referred by the relevant Local authority. The project worker will then assess the individuals/family needs to establish appropriate services and supports including schools, parenting and childcare for families. The key objective is to ensure a coordinated response to access and exit appropriate housing and healthcare and social support to exit homelessness and sustain a home long-term. Some case work will be allocated under our Housing Plus programme to support long-term tenants in crisis and ensure long-term tenancy sustainment. Good Shepherd Centre Kilkenny works in conjunction with Mental Health Service Area 5, and in partnership with Kilkenny Council, Tipperary, Laois and Carlow County Councils.
