Main tasks: Answering main switchboard, routing calls, taking messages Receiving incoming post and deliveries Sorting and distributing incoming mail Organise dispatch of post (mail and courier) Welcoming visitors and informing staff of their arrival Keep company diary up to date with details of meetings, events, conferences, training courses, etc Enquiries – Answer simple customer enquiries on all company services including: service, sales, valeting, etc Where enquiry cannot be concluded, it should be passed on to relevant member of staff Input incoming cheque and petty cash details onto accounts database Issue invoices Administrative duties for staff including faxing, data entry, photocopying, compiling reports or information packs Typing (from hand written notes and Dictaphone) reports, memos, notes, minutes, agendas, letters, brochures, faxes Assist in company event organisation (functions, conferences, meetings, travel arrangements, hotel & restaurant bookings, trade & motor shows) Co-ordinating the equipment and supplies requirements of the company, purchasing and ordering of same Ensuring that fax’s, photocopiers, tea/coffee machines etc. have adequate supplies The role will also involve taking bookings for tests and checking in customers for each CVRT test and raising invoices on our DMS for each customer. It will be a full time position Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5.30pm. Some Saturday work may be required on a rota basis one per month 9.00am to 1.00pm. Previous test centre reception experience would be advantageous but not essential although previous office administrators experience is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy furniture manufacturer based in Bray Co Wicklow. We are looking for the right person to become part of long-established business which produces high quality furniture products for the domestic and international markets. The role is within our manufacturing team and is a temporary 3-month full time position with option to extend beyond and become permanent for the right candidate. Foam fabrication: Spraying up wood and foam substrate components. Bonding fabrics and polyurethane and plastics components. Using industrial spraying equipment and water based. Adhesives. Assembly and sub assembly operations. Performing sub assembly and light assembly work where required. Using pneumatic power tools and hand tools. Maintaining efficient safe working practises all the time. Perform quality control check throughout and at final stages of operation. Consult with production supervisor/management alike with regard to Quality Control and Health & Safety. Warehousing: Goods inwards and outwards, cleaning and packing. Goods outwards and assisting in loading delivery vehicles. Taking in goods and breaking down pallets, storing items in designated location, reporting any faults or damage to manager. Manufacturing Assistant: Assisting other team members on the factory floor in the production of finished chair products. Ensuring safe working practises are adhered to. General Operative: Carrying out other adhoc duties when required. Minimum Requirements: Fluent English. Experience working in a production environment. Manual Handling Certification an advantage but not essential. Junior Certificate or equivalent. Willingness to learn. Reliable and excellent time keeping a must.
