Introduction to Bryson Pathways Bryson Pathways is part of the Bryson Group and through its Training and Employability projects Bryson Pathways delivers Employment and Vocational Training programmes to young people and the unemployed. For over 30 years it has successfully managed and delivered a wide range of qualifications, training, and employment programmes. Job Purpose The Schools Engagement Officer will engage with prospective participants, stakeholders, and the wider communities to maximise programme uptake, specifically on the Skills for Life and Work Programme, through developing new referral streams and establishing strong relationships with new and existing referrals partners within the Greater Belfast and Antrim and Newtownabbey and Lisburn and Castlereagh council areas. As well as establishing new partnerships in other council areas. Principle Duties • To recruit participants onto the Skills for Life and Work Programme. • To promote and establish Bryson as the provider of choice for programme participants. • To work to a set of agreed targets measured through Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). • To develop links with school leavers, young adults, those economically inactive, or long term unemployed to encourage participation on training and employment programmes to ensure targets are met or exceeded. • To collaborate with existing referral partners, ensuring that the people who need us the most are recruited and supported through the programme registration process. • To actively identify, engage and collaborate with new referral partners, to ensure a strong and sustainable registration pipeline is maintained. • Ensure Bryson has a visible presence in the geographical areas through the development of links with local schools community networks and appropriate stakeholders • To support participants through the full registration process ensuring a smooth hand over to the programme delivery teams. • To ensure strict adherence to the programme operational guidance in relation to their particular area of work. • Contribute to the promotion of Bryson through a range of media and events as required. • Comply with organisational, programmes and legal codes of practices. • To comply fully with Bryson Pathways Safeguarding Policy ensuring knowledge and skills are kept up to date to ensure the safety and well-being of participants and staff. • Prepare for and participate in Annual Performance Reviews. • Ensure the implementation and observance of associated Health and Safety Regulations. • Contribute to the monthly/financial monitoring returns as outlined by funders. • To carry out any other duties, that may be allocated as and when required.
