The Role: The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for providing the highest quality dining experience for guests of the Farnham Estate in terms of restaurant service, quality and standards. The Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager with maximizing guest satisfaction by ensuring guest bookings are confirmed, gives work direction to wait staff and takes opportunities to upsell in Maxwell’s Grill Room Restaurant, the Cedars Rooms Restaurant and Afternoon Tea. This is a management role that requires people management skills, experience of driving food service, guest satisfaction and motivation of waiting staff in order to achieve the goals of the restaurant. The Ideal Candidate will: · Be experienced in supervising a team · Have experience of working to high food safety standards · Be experienced in coaching wait staff to excellent service and guest satisfaction levels. . Must have a valid work visa. Key Competencies: Individual: The successful candidate must have a sound knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation. They will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They must be able to work on their own initiative and have the ability to drive improvements in line with business needs. Experience: The successful candidate will be an experienced Health & Safety professional with relevant practical experience, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As an apprentice, you will: Responsibilities • Assist senior crafts with their day-to-day duties, equipment breakdowns, and planned works across their assigned plants. Process equipment includes various types of pumps, valves, fans, centrifugal separators, decanters and packaging systems • Work in a good manufacturing practice (GMP) environment. • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing. • Under senior craft supervision you will be working with equipment such as milling machines, lathes, drills, welding plants, hand tools and other portable equipment. • Assist with fault finding on the various systems that we operate on site such as pasteurisers, evaporators, drying systems, material transport systems and utility systems as part of a team and as an individual. • Liaise with production staff in job execution. • Provide accurate reporting as necessary, including the use of computer maintenance system.
