We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Senior Occupational Therapist (PDSS) to join our team in CHO4 Physical Disability Support Services, Enable Ireland Cork Children’s Services, Curraheen, Cork Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract for 1 year Contract Hours: 17.5 hours per week Salary Scale: €57,771 to €68,385pro rata per annum. Annual Leave Entitlement : 33 days pro-rata per annum Overview of the Post: Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The purpose of the PDSS is to provide support to clinicians, children and families attending a CDNT The post holder will work as a senior occupational therapist within the CHO4 PDSS providing services to children 0 – 18 years and families within the region. The post holder will provide an occupational therapy service to include assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children with a physical disability. The post holder will contribute to the development of clinical competencies in teams working with children with a physical disability. Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: Please see Job Description for full list The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications & Experience : Candidates for appointment must: · Hold an Occupational Therapy qualification recognised by the Occupational Therapy Registration Board at CORU. AND · Be registered, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. AND · All candidates must have a minimum of 3 years full time (or equivalent) post qualification clinical experience in the area of paediatric (0-18 years) physical disability, AND physical disability motor management (ie: Upper Limb assessment and intervention, Spasticity management, Complex Postural and Seating assessment, intervention and management including bespoke moulded seating systems) AND Experience working with a number of Occupational Therapists on CDNTs and Primary Care, to include assessments and service plans in providing motor management services. AND All candidates must demonstrate a proven record of worked experience in the area of physical disability. Professional Development and Practice · All candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development in the area of motor management.
