Established in 2010, St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network operates from three Dublin locations The Network provides a full range of world class treatments including a comprehensive Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) programme, Intra-cranial Stereotactic, Extra-cranial Stereotactic, Total Body Irradiation (TBI) and the national paediatric service. There is also a comprehensive brachytherapy service provided, including prostate seeds. St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) serves patients primarily from the Dublin East, Dublin Midlands and Dublin North East regions. Referrals are also received from around the country for the specialised services offered. Working in clinical trials requires a methodical approach to the role & attention to detail is of paramount importance. The CRN must have a flexible attitude & approach to the role & acquire an in-depth knowledge of trial protocols. IT skills are also an important component to the role. The successful applicant will work as a team member to support the work of the Clinical Trials Unit and acts as a member of a multi-disciplinary team liaising with Medical and Nursing staff, Laboratory Staff, Pharmacy Staff, and other Departments as required as well as with Trial Sponsors. Airline Flight Academy (AFA) is a venture for outsourced sim & flying services to European Airlines from a brand-new training facility based in Santry, Dublin, Ireland. AFA are recruiting for a Senior SIM Engineer to join their team of Simulator Engineers at this new Flight Simulator Training Facility. The facility will be used to support Pilot Training using the latest Flight Simulators from CAE and MPS. The training centre is made up of 4x CAE Full Flight Simulators and 3x MPS FTD/FNPT’s. Our simulators run over 20 hours per day training 5,500 pilots each year for recurrent and initial training. Our highly skilled SIM Engineering team carry out preventative maintenance and urgent repair of our SIMs. Quick action to resolve issues that affect the training of aircrew using the simulators and training equipment is a priority. This to ensure minimum disruption to our pilot training schedule.
