Medical Secretary
Job Purpose: The purpose of the Medical Secretary Grade IV is to provide an exceptional and comprehensive support service delivery within the various Departments in CVRRE Directorate (Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Renal, Respiratory and Endocrinology) in consideration of Patient Care and the Departmental Administration Team. The Grade IV Medical Secretary will ensure that all duties, roles and responsibilities are completed to the required operational standards in line with the competency framework. In order to meet the service needs of the hospital the post holder may be required from time to time to work at different locations to the normal place of work i.e. across the Hospital Directorates. The post holder will also be expected to provide cover for colleagues during times of absence and change in service demands. Clinical Nurse Manager
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for the Renal Day Unit will have responsibility for managing and maintaining an environment which is always committed to ensuring a quality, safe and efficient care service experience for each patient. She/he will role model clinical and administrative expertise and will ensure compliance with regulatory, administrative and clinical standards, policies and procedures. She/he will supervise and coordinate care delivery in accordance with the vision, mission, philosophy, core values, evidenced based practice, and standards of the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. To work in partnership with all staff members in the Renal service including the Directorate Nurse Manager, CNM3, Director of Nursing, Clinical Director /Specialty Consultants and the inter/trans-disciplinary teams to maintain , develop and improve patient centred, quality, safe care. Basic Respiratory Physiologist
We are looking for respiratory physiologists to join our dynamic and growing team of Respiratory Physiologists working alongside a strong team of specialist respiratory nurses and 8 Respiratory Consultants. The Mater hospital is the National centre for heart and lung transplantation and pulmonary hypertension to name a few. So therefore you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in diagnosing a wide range of respiratory conditions from our unique patient cohorts. The PFT lab perform and report on a range of respiratory and sleep diagnostics procedures with scope for expanding our diagnostic capabilities. We currently perform and report on the following tests: · Spirometry & reversibility testing. · Full pulmonary function testing (including Plethysmography). · Methacholine challenge testing. · MIP, MEP & SNIP. · CPET. · Setup, analysis and scoring of limited sleep studies. · Skin Prick allergy testing. All physiologists in the lab will work between the hospital and in the integrated care hub in the community. Job Purpose: The basic grade neurophysiologist will work alongside a clinical and administrative team in the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital providing diagnostic testing such as electroencephalography(EEG), nerve conduction studies(NCS) and evoked potentials(EP’s). Clinical Nurse Specialist
The role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Congenital heart disease service is to provide efficient and effective care for all patients and their families. S/he will be a key member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team involved in the assessment and management of their care. The post holder will engage in timely patient reviews and act as a role model demonstrating clinical expertise relating to Congenital heart disease care. S/he will actively promote and develop holistic care plans for each patient who attends the service. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the care of Congenital heart disease patients referred to MMUH from external partner sites. This post also encompasses collecting and collating of data for all patients who present to the Mater Miseriocordiae University Hospital.
