Apprentice Manufacturing Technician

The plant, based in Dun Laoghaire, runs 24/7 and is the Worldwide Centre of Excellence for Pen Needle Manufacturing within the BD organization, producing 4.6 billion medical devices annually. Here we employ approximately 450 people across Operations, Engineering, Quality and R&D. About the role We are currently recruiting 2 x Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeships . These Apprenticeships are offered on a 3-year contract and will report to a Shift Process Engineer. On completion of the apprentice the successful candidate will attain a Level 7 Degree in Engineering. As our Apprentice, YOU will learn the vital skills to provide support to operations, including troubleshooting equipment and process issues, validation and qualification activities of the site through the creation and support of necessary validation documentation for equipment, process and product release. You will work both autonomously and cross-functionally with Production, Operations, Engineering Support, Quality, Facilities, and Safety to ensure that the engineering activities/projects are completed as per defined project schedule. You will also work in establishing and coordinating corrective/preventive maintenance activities for Production/Operations equipment within the manufacturing site. Linesight is now accepting applications for our Quantity Surveyor Apprenticeships. Successful candidates will join a strong group of apprentices within Linesight As an Apprentice you will work with our teams based in Haddington Road Dublin. You will gain experience of the Construction Consultancy industry with on the job training provided by our highly experienced teams. What does a Quantity Surveyor do ? - Quantity Surveyors are responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities and project timelines and they provide this information to clients. - Work with clients to identity their needs and ensure they get value for money. - Estimate quantities, costs and time scales for materials and labour. - Prepare tender and contract documents and value completed work managing bugets and overseeing payments. Over the course of your 5 year programme you will be involved in aspects of Quanity Surveying. This role is in conjunction with TUDs part-time level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics. It is a requirement that you apply to TUD for a place on this course, please refer to www.tud.ie for minimum entry requirements, applications process and deadline. The successful candidate will work 4 days per week on site in Linesight and will attend college 1 day per week. Linesight will cover course fees. What we need from you ?
