The Veterinary Biosciences Section in the University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine seeks to appoint one temporary teaching fellow. The successful candidate will ideally commence at the beginning of September 2021. Appointments will be offered on a 1 year fixed-term basis with a further possibility of renewal. The appointee will be expected to deliver lectures, practicals and assessments on modules within the Veterinary Biosciences section in the pre-clinical teaching area for the undergraduate and graduate-entry veterinary degree course. The appointee will also be expected to make a significant contribution to the undergraduate veterinary nursing degree course within the school. The successful candidate will be required to contribute to teaching in basic veterinary anatomy and physiology, cell biology and homeostasis, the physiology and biology of digestion in domestic species, and the development of cells, tissues and organs. The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School and Section and to make a commensurate contribution to School administration. The post is developmental, with the appointee to be supported to develop key aspects of their experience and skills in support of future career opportunities. Salary: €35,000 - €37,000 per annum Appointment will be made on the range and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines. Closing date: 17:00hrs (local Irish time) on 23 August 2021.
