In Supply Chain area, the department acts in a strategic manner to aid each Regional Supply Chain department in achieving their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), focusing on availability, write off control and freshness of product. The department also sets out best practice for regional operations. In the layout management area the primary responsibilities relate to all forms of product placement in the store, and the creation of the operational instructions to be communicated to stores for successful execution of a promotion, i.e. bringing the promotional leaflet to life for the customer. At Lidl, the supply chain doesn’t stop when the item is physically delivered to the store, in layout management, the team ensure that each category layout and promotional placement is designed with a view to maintaining simplicity and improving efficiencies, all the while delivering a strong message to the customer. With the support of other Head Office Departments and Regional Teams, procedures and policies are developed and implemented to achieve this compliance. Within the EHS Department there are three main areas of interest. The successful graduate will gain experience in all these areas over the time they spend with the EHS Department; Food Safety Management, Health and Safety Management and Fire Safety Management. Food Safety Management: Ensuring we have the correct controls and process at store and warehouse level to ensure the products we sell are safe to consume is critical to us as a department and to us a business.
