Role Overview The successful applicant will be a member of the Financial and Operational Performance Group in DCU Business School. The individual will conduct high quality research and teaching in Accounting and will also participate in the School’s external engagement activities. The individual is expected to deliver leadership in the Accounting discipline, and more widely in the School, with regard to all areas of activity: Teaching, Research, Management/Service and External Engagement. Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities attaching to the post include but are not restricted to the following: Research and Scholarship To contribute to the leadership of research activity in DCU Business School by: Qualifications and Experience Applications are invited from academics with a track record of achievement within the Accounting discipline in higher education and who are committed to contributing to the leadership of the discipline in DCU Business School. Candidates must have a honours degree (NFQ Level 8) and a PhD in Accounting or a related field. Candidates must have a proven track record of producing high quality research outputs, particularly high-quality peer-reviewed journal publications and they must provide evidence of a breath of research experience and leadership capability. Additionally, both depth and breadth of teaching experience in higher education and a track record of excellence in teaching and of inspiring students is also required. It is desirable for applicants to hold a professional accounting qualification and relevant professional/industry experience is welcomed. We are seeking applicants with a track record of achievement in research, with a pipeline of research projects that will lead to publications in high impact international journals. Applicants should be part of international research networks and have a range of research collaborators and it is desirable that they have experience of research supervision and applying for research funding. Applicants should have evidence of leading teaching and learning innovations/initiatives and should have experience of effective external engagement with the accounting profession and/or the business community. Applicants must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills consistent with the highest quality of teaching, research, management and external engagement, together with evidence of successful teamwork and a collegial approach. The successful applicant will play an important role in the further enrichment of the School’s national and international reputation and must display clear leadership attributes and skills and have the ability, and interest, to inspire and motivate colleagues with regard to all areas of activity of DCU Business School.

Aircraft Services General Op Job Summary General Ops from Aircraft Services provides a variety of professional cleaning services to ensure aircraft are well presented on both the interior and exterior. This includes (but not be limited) to performing a range of interior and exterior cleaning as contacted by the airline. Other duties may include cleaning office or retail facilities and the operation of specialist ground servicing equipment. These are permanent part-time positions (30 hours a week). The starting rate is €10.50 per hour increasing to €11.44 after successful completion of the security training programmes. Job Responsibilities: • Clean interior areas of the aircraft cabin including the removal of blankets, vacuuming aircraft carpets, wiping down tables, walls, overhead bins, windows and removing trash from seat pockets • Replenish seat pockets with airline materials as per customer requirements • Clean lavatories; washbasins, surfaces, mirrors and replenish lavatory supplies • Clean and sanitise aircraft galleys; mopping floors and wipe down of work surfaces • Arrange seatbelts on seats, placement of headrests, pillows and blankets as required • Clean exterior areas of the aircraft as required • Provide security cleans/checks as required • Provide professional cleaning for office and retail areas as required • Drive and/or operate ground support equipment which may include vans, aircraft steps, hi-lift vehicles, water/lavatory service trucks • Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager • Comply with all UK/Ireland/EU legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements • Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) • Maintain the highest standards of safety and security at all time • Other duties as assigned What can we offer you? • Fully paid Induction Training – classroom and practical. • Airport ID provided including Garda Vetting • On-site car parking facilities at Dublin Airport provided. • Full uniform & PPE provided • Staff discounts for shopping at The Loop, Dublin Airport & local businesses • Access to our Pension scheme • Strong career progression • 20 days annual leave increasing to 25days (pro-rated)
