About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a General Operator in our Kerry Team in Farranfore, Co. Kerry. It is a full-time, permanent position. Working hours are rotating 08:00 to 16:00 and 16:00 to 00:00, Monday to Friday. There will be also overtime on some Saturdays. Responsible for the analysis of raw materials, in process and finished product samples. The successful candidate will conduct testing ranging from physical, chemical, microbiological, functional, sensory etc. Proficiency testing within scope of lab accreditations. Accountable for recording the date generated in SAP and other system. Other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. What do I need to be successful? A third level qualification in a science related discipline or lab experience is required A leaving Certificate qualification is required. Knowledge of the Quality Management Systems. Demonstrated knowledge of the product specifications, plant processes and products. Previous manufacturing experience is desirable, but not essential. An excellent understanding of Good Laboratory Practice. The successful candidate will be organised, systematic and should possess the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail. Strong analytical skills. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to respond to changing demands. Proficient in the use of MS Office tools.
