POST A : The UHK Geriatric Emergency Multidisciplinary Service (GEMS) includes a GEMS Consultant, CNS, Physiotherapist & Occupational Therapist to respond to the specific & complex needs of the older person. The person appointed to this Senior Speech and Language Therapist post will work as part of the GEMS team delivering a coordinated approach to older persons that attend the Emergency Department (ED) University Hospital Kerry (UHK) and who, on presentation are identified as frail. POST B : The UHK Stroke Service includes an acute stroke unit and a specialist and stroke-specific rehabilitation service. The team includes consultant, nursing, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and rehabilitation assistant. The person appointed to this Senior Speech and Language Therapist post will be a core member of the stroke multi-disciplinary team services. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of evidence based care in stroke.

This a casual role which means you can control the days you work Employment will be carried out on different retail customer sites and stores and travel will vary on a shift-by-shift basis. You will be responsible for ensuring stock is counted quickly and accurately using a handheld scanner. Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time is needed for the role and access equipment such as ladders or steps may have to be used on occasion to reach high stock. Transport in Dublin must be discussed at interview stages Key Skills/ Experience Required Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and throughout the night when required.
