Community Healthcare East provides mental health services to the catchment area of Dublin South East and County Wicklow (excluding West Wicklow). The adult catchment population for this post, is parts of Dublin 8 [4 electoral divisions] and 2 [4 electoral divisions] is C30,000 (CSO Census 2023). This post is for a temporary contract in the area of general adult inpatient and community psychiatry and has been vacated due to maternity leave. The service is a community-orientated model and approach. There is a strong focus on non-hospital assessments and supporting patients to live as independently as possible. There are 27 acute in-patient beds are provided in the Elm Mount Psychiatric Unit at St. Vincent’s University Hospital (SVUH) with associated day hospital at Vergemount, out patients and hostels (high [x2] and low [x1] supports). The Multidisciplinary Teams in the service are consultant-led with input from nursing, psychology and social work health professionals and by administrative staff. Operational systems and protocols are in place in line with Mental Health Commission standards. The post holder will also be fully integrated with the other teams within Dublin South East. Accountant
The Accountant will be employed on a permanent basis and will work with the senior finance team responsible for managing the financial resources of the Hospital. The post holder, together with the senior finance team, will be responsible for ensuring that the Hospital controls its fiduciary affairs in accordance with statutory obligations. The senior finance team has responsibility to ensure that the Hospital’s financial and accountability culture draws from the best recommended practices. The accountant will assist in a number of areas within the Finance Department and contribute to production of the annual financial statements in compliance with the Companies Acts and Accounting Standards for Voluntary Hospitals as issued by the Department of Health, ensuring that adequate systems and records are maintained. Clinical Nurse Specialist, Lower GI CNM
Job Purpose: The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Gastroenterology will demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge and skills to improve the quality of patient care. The post holder will support the on-going development of the Gastroenterology service and be responsible for ensuring the delivery of specialist nursing within the service. The CNS in Gastroenterology will focus primarily on patients attending the service for therapeutic lower GI and luminal endoscopic procedures. Pre-procedural, intra-procedural (hands-on in rooms/training) and post-procedural care will be a core element of this role. Data collection in relation to patient clinical outcomes will also form part of the role, under supervision of the relevant GI consultant. . The purpose of this Clinical Nurse Specialist, Lung Transplant Service is to: provide expertise and specialist nursing services to patients pre and post lung transplantation; both in the hospital and outpatient setting.The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering coordinated, evidence based care for patients and their caregivers. Clinical Nurse Manager, Trials And Research Unit
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team who engage with researchers and clinicians to support clinical research within the CTRU. Within the remit of this post, the successful individual will have responsibility for a caseload of patients on clinical trials and research projects. The individual will be expected to lead under direction of the Clinical Director and CNM2 in areas such as audit and staff education and to make an important contribution to papers arising from studies undertaken by the CTRU. Clinical Nurse Manager, National Isolation Unit
The NIU Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (CNM3) will be part of the directorate senior nurse management team. S/he will provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership to all nursing staff in particular the Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2). The NIU Clinical Nurse Manager will work closely with the NIU Clinical Lead in coordinating NIU activation, simulation, protocol development and training. They will support and lead CNS and SDF in NIU. They will work with MMUH strategic project team during development of the NIU and provide NIU nursing representation on national outbreak response committees. When not doing NIU duties they will support the EASM directorate, senior nurse management team, have oversight of the ID wards/ID outpatient clinics and assist across the directorate as required.
