Health Care Assistant

As a Dovida Caregiver, you’ll provide essential support to ageing adults and people living with disability in their own homes. These services are person-centred, tailored to clients’ requirements, and delivered on flexible schedules. These services generally fall under three categories: • Companionship • Home Help • Personal Care. Companionship Companionship services are those that stimulate, encourage and assist an individual with their social needs. Companionship services generally include: • Providing companionship and conversation. • Providing stabilisation and assistance with walking. • Preparing meals and cleaning up after meals. • Providing medication reminders and appointment reminders. The role The post holder appointed will carry out mechanical maintenance and repair work as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising engineers, technicians, general operatives and supporting specialist contractors. The post holder will deliver a prompt, efficient cost effective customer focused service in a team environment., to achieve and maintain the standards required for Wexford General Hospital, in relation to: · Maintenance of heating and cooling systems, Meduim Temperature Hot Water Systems, Low Pressure Hot Water systems, clean air systems, air handling units, hot and cold water services, water treatment services, RO plant, water softener plant, catering equipment, refrigeration plant, cook-chill equipment, laundry equipment, medical gases plant, oil storage systems, natural gas systems, LPG systems. · Maintenancof central sterilisation services equipment, endoscopy decontamination equipment. · Liaison with specialist maintenance of patient equipment. · Maintenance of rainwater systems, soils and waste systems. · Maintenance of waste management: water, clinical, domestic and recycling. The person Candidates must meet the following Eligibility Criteria by the closing date: 1. Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc (a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: (i) Possess a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) (NFQ) Level 6 (or higher) Advanced Certificate Craft - Plumbing (or equivalent qualification). The Lean Co-Ordinator will develop strong working relationships with all levels of staff to sustain a continuous improvement Lean culture within the site. They will have responsibility for identifying, developing, and implementing the Lean programme for the site. Key Responsibilities: · Work with management to develop Lean mindset and Lean-oriented processes to improve efficiency and standardize work. · Manage the Lean requirements of the site with the central Lean Team. · Partner with staff to collect observations, ideas, and solutions to ensure continuous improvement of processes. · Provide ongoing guidance/training on Lean. · Support the management team to ensure all continuous improvement projects are implemented within agreed time frames. · Continuously review electricity and water usage as part of energy management efforts. · Develop Site & Lean meetings to effectively focus the team, highlight the right problems, ensure root causes are agreed and addressed, or the issue is escalated at the right time. · Develop understanding of 5S principles and embed these within the workplace. · Lead by example, upholding the company’s values in all areas of work.
