We are now recruiting an experienced Maintenance Technician in AbbVie Westport for an initial 12 months fixed term contract , to carry out planned/unplanned maintenance across robotic packaging, aseptic manufacturing and filling. The role involves troubleshooting and optimizing mechanical systems to ensure the highest equipment reliability. In this role you will work as part of a strong multi-disciplined team of Fitters, Electricians, Process and Reliability Engineers. We have a strong emphasis on identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiency. Our primary objective is the consistent supply of safe, first class product to our customers. This role will cover a weekend shift (12 hours, Friday, Saturday, Sunday with a bi-weekly rotation between days and nights). In your role you will:

Key Responsibilities: · Integrate as part of the Maintenance team to deliver support for operations. · Carry out all work keeping safety, quality, and output to the fore. · Deliver with the other Maintenance team members a reliable centred maintenance function with best practices including preventative maintenance. · Maintain accurate maintenance data and close out assigned work using the CMMS. · Install new electrical circuits containment and take part in commissioning process. · Repair and replace electrical equipment. · Responsible for electrical inventory · Install maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation equipment and related devices · Periodic testing of electrical circuits · Participate in the onsite lean initiatives · Be available for callout in breakdown situations Requirements: The ideal candidate will have: · National craft cert · Mechanical knowledge and experience in working with pneumatics and hydraulics · Knowledge of PLC controls is an advantage · Excellent communication and organisational skills. · Previous experience within a high-volume food manufacturing environment an advantage · Experience using a CMMS · Knowledge of repair and fault finding · Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
