The overall Division is made up of six teams; 4 devoted to the supervision of platforms, an investigations team and an operations team which will help determine regulatory strategy. Qualifications A degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience. Essential Skills & Experience • At least one year's experience in content creation, social media management, marketing or communications. • Strong photography and videography skills, with experience using professional camera equipment to independently capture and produce high-quality visual content. • Experience creating engaging short-form content for social media platforms. • Proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar editing software. • Excellent understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms and audience engagement. • Understanding of the Irish education sector and the ability to create content that resonates with secondary school students, parents and adult learners. • Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple projects. • Exceptionally reliable, proactive and able to work independently while maintaining regular communication with the Marketing Manager. • Flexibility to work across City Education Group locations in Dublin and attend events as required. Desirable • Experience working within education, youth organisations or a similar environment. • Experience with Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and paid social campaigns. • Ownership of professional photography and/or videography equipment would be an advantage. • Understanding of audience segmentation and digital marketing best practice. The Medical Council is seeking to recruit an Executive Officer (EO grade) on a Fixed Term basis to assist the Medical Council in supporting Council, Committee & Working Groups and the Fitness to Practise team. Overview: The purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive legal, administrative, and case management support to the Fitness to Practise Unit, ensuring the timely, fair, and efficient progression of cases and inquiries in accordance with statutory and regulatory obligations. Key Responsibilities: • Providing administrative support for Council, Committee & Working Groups that fall within the responsibilities of the section – including supporting the reporting manager in drafting agendas, compiling and circulating briefs and drafting of minutes. • Organising and managing internal and external meetings. • Attending meetings and take minutes when required. • Supporting Council/Committee meetings via online conferencing platforms and in person • Drafting correspondence. • Organising and assisting with ongoing internal and external communication (including telephone calls, email and letters) with individuals and organisations relevant to the work of the team. • Observing organisational policies, procedures, good practice guidance relevant to the role and to assigned tasks and procedures • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time. • Co-ordinate governance activities such as compliance with statutory requirements such as Ethics in Public Office returns and maintenance of the Register of Interests for Council Members • Build and maintain effective relationships with key relevant external stakeholders and professional bodies as appropriate, to continuously develop knowledge and learning. • Work closely with their reporting manager in delivering on a range of key activities including, business planning, annual and other reporting, corporate governance matters and business process improvements. • Actively engage with the risk framework of the Medical Council. • Participate in departmental and cross organisational projects as required, contributing to process improvements, policy development, and operational initiatives. • Carry out any other duties that may be assigned from time to time in support of the effective operation of the Fitness to Practise Unit. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and the job holder is expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation. Essential Criteria: • At least two years’ satisfactory experience working in a busy, high pressure administrative role preferably in an organisation which operates procedures and activities within a statutory framework.  • A minimum qualification requirement is that the applicant holds a Leaving Certificate and/or relevant experience in a similar administrative, legal, or regulatory support role. • Experience using technology, case management systems, and standard IT applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word. or any other online cloud-based meeting system to support meetings. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders. • Sound organisational abilities, including the capacity to manage files, track deadlines, and maintain accurate records in a busy environment. A 6-Month probationary period applies to this appointment. Salary:  Starting salary will be at €38,803, which is the first point of the Executive Officer PayScale. If you are currently a serving civil or public servant, your entry point to the PayScale may be higher based on your current salary.  There will be a salary increment each year in line with the Executive Officer Grade PayScale and subject to satisfactory performance, until the maximum point on the scale has been reached. The rate of remuneration will not be subject to negotiation and may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.  Executive Officer PayScale: €38,803 €40,764 €41,871 €44,030 €45,965 €47,838 €49,703 €51,534 €53,419 €55,296 €57,289 €58,624  €60,527(LS1 After 3 years satisfactory service at the maximum) €63,227 (After 6 years satisfactory service at the maximum) Annual Leave:  23 working days plus public holidays Hours:  35 hours per week, Mon-Fri. Location:  The Medical Council’s offices are located at Kingram House, Kingram Place, Dublin 2. We operate a hybrid working model with both remote working and a current requirement for on-site attendance two days per week.
