Purpose of the Role The cCNS post holder will be enabled to deliver care in line with the five core concepts of the role set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse Specialist Posts, 4th edition, National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM) 2008. Caseload The cCNS will focus initially on the following service user groups attending the Neuromuscular service. The cCNS clinical role is based on the core concepts and associated competencies for the CNS (adapted from NCNM 4th edition 2008). Location: TURAS Family & Community Services is a community-based service based in Galway City , with a satellite service in the Ballinasloe and Tuam area. The service provides supports to children whom have varying abilities. We are primarily a community based service and are looking to gradually expand the geographical areas, in where we operate satellite services from. The posts will be located in Galway City and surrounding areas. The Role: The Community Support Workers role is exciting and innovative. This support is an alternative form of respite for families. As a Community Support Worker, you will be assigned a caseload where you will be providing support to a number of children and their families. In this role, you will be required to work as part of a team, as well as on your own initiative, and become an advocate for each child and family you are supporting. The role will involve supporting children that use our services, to actively participate in their communities where possible, promote community integration, social inclusion and life skills development. In this role, there may be identified goals to focus your supports on, which will work towards the model of community and social inclusivity. There may also be identified goals around supporting the child to participate in leisure and recreational activities, or assisting them in socialising in group situations with their peers. The Community Support Worker role within Turas Family and Community services, can take the form of after school supports, school holiday supports and Saturday clubs. Working Hours: Full-time hours are 78 hours a fortnight/part-time hours will vary. All posts are rostered over a 14 day/night duty roster. Applications are invited for the following:- STAFF GRADE CLINICAL / EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST Ref: 66/2025 Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week) Children Disability Team (South Kerry) Network 3 (Outreach services in Tralee, Killorglin and Caherciveen) Job Summary This post is in South Kerry (Network 3), working as part of an Interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young adults, 0-18yrs and their families. This will include children with Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, children on the Autistic Spectrum and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an Interdisciplinary Disability team. This team is under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE. The successful candidate will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. The South Kerry team is based in Killarney with an outreach services to Tralee, Killorglin and Caherciveen to provide input to families from the South Kerry area . A ssessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided by an Interdisciplinary team. Have a university degree or diploma (QQI Level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject, AND Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology OR An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health. AND Must have 6 months experience of working as a Psychologist , or Trainee Psychologist under supervision, with children with disabilities (Intellectual Disability, Autism and/or Physical and Sensory disabilities) 2. Driving Licence Must have a full driving license and means of transport which qualifies you to drive on Irish roads. 3. Age The Public Service Superannuation (Age of Retirement) Act, 2018* set 70 years as the compulsory retirement age for public servants. * Public Servants not affected by this legislation: Public servants recruited between 1 April 2004 and 31 December 2012 (new entrants) have no compulsory retirement age.
