VACANCIES: Relief Support Panel in Residential Social Care “ChildVision enhances the lives of children and young people with a visual impairment through specialist supports” ChildVision, the national centre for the education of blind children, based in Drumcondra, Dublin 9, is seeking suitably qualified applicants to provide cover for evening/ sleepover duties within the residential service. The relief workers will be required to assist our children and young people in their day-to-day life, including getting ready for school/college/day service, activities of daily living, meal preparation, social activities. andnight time sleep overs. The relief support panel is a designed to fill vacancies due to staff absence but members of the panel will never work alone or unsupported by a permanent, experienced, staff member. Applicants should hold or be working towards a Level 6/7 or above degree, in a relevant subject area. Some experience working with people with a Multiple disbailities and/or visual impairment would be desirable, but not necessary, as induction and trainning will be provided.
