SECTION 1: ROLE Cork County Council invites applications from suitably qualified persons who wish to be considered for inclusion on a panel from which vacancies for District Supervisor, Roads, Transportation and Area Services Kanturk or Mallow Municipal District may be filled. SECTION 2: DUTIES The District Supervisor duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following: Supervise, motivate and direct staff in his or her area and all works in their charge, including organising and planning work such as surface dressing, pavement overlays, wet mix, road strengthening and repairs, road maintenance, drainage works, pipe laying, repairs to bridges and culverts, general concrete works, footpaths, and maintenance of public amenities (including public facilities, public spaces and graveyards), or any other works. Ensure compliance with the provisions of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Acts, under the direction of the appropriate supervisor and other supervisory staff Be responsible for the provision of a safe working environment for all employees and the general public on all work assigned Allocate work to employees as directed by the Council’s Engineers Report at 8.30 in the morning to any location within the assigned Kanturk or Mallow area Deal with queries and complaints from members of the public in a courteous, prompt and efficient manner and keep the Area Engineer or other designated person informed Furnish relevant reports when required, including inspection of road reinstatement carried out by third parties under road opening licences Keep records and measurements of all plant, labour and materials on works, including costings, and submit these to the Area Engineer or Area Office Maintain a comprehensive daily site diary documenting all site activities, progress updates and resource usage, providing a clear record for resolving potential disputes Investigate complaints, prepare clear and accurate reports and submit them as required Liaise with community groups and other stakeholders Liaise with and supervise work carried out by contractors and subcontractors engaged by the local authority Use, as directed and upon receipt of appropriate training, information technology equipment including personal computers, handheld technologies and other equipment Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Computer Aided Design, Outlook, Dash, Integra and other systems Participate in tendering and procurement training and organise or advertise tenders on supply.gov and other public service tender sites Use modern communication tools such as mobile phones or tablets as directed Attend Temporary Traffic Management Design training and prepare, design and implement Temporary Traffic Management Plans where required Keep the Area Engineer informed on all matters of importance and liaise with other sections of the Council on works and emergencies Participate in training provided by the Council and facilitate training of staff. Maintain training records for outdoor staff and arrange training as required Participate in staff evaluation and appraisal by the Area Engineer or other designated person Be available to receive and make phone calls outside normal working hours, particularly in relation to emergency call out crews responding to storm events, winter maintenance or flooding. Provide timely advice and support during such events Implement Health and Safety policies and procedures, including delivering toolbox talks, disseminating safety alerts and bulletins and undertaking safety inspections Read, prepare and update road construction and drainage drawings Carry out any other duties assigned from time to time and contribute to the development of the post SECTION 3: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATIONS1. Change & Transformation Manager
The Role The post holder will play a central role in establishing and sustaining a structured change management function at Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. The post holder will partner with the Head of Digital, Director of Nursing, and Executive Committee to build the organisation's change capability, embed a consistent change methodology, and ensure that the human dimension of change remains central to every initiative. A key early deliverable will be supporting the implementation of the HSE Community Care Record (CCR) a national digital transformation programme that will introduce a shared digital system for managing patient information across community and specialist palliative care services. Marymount is included in the HSE South West rollout phase, expected in 2027. The Change Manager will lead the organisational readiness, staff engagement, training, and adoption workstreams associated with this programme. Beyond CCR, the post holder will be responsible for building a practical, sustainable change framework that enables successful delivery of Marymount's broader strategic and operational objectives. Eligibility Criteria Qualifications and/ or Experience A candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed applications, meet the following requirements: Hold a third-level qualification (minimum Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications, or equivalent) in a regulated clinical profession; nursing,, medicine, or allied health by way of example. Have significant experience working in a dedicated change management, programme management, or organisational transformation role within a large, complex, multi-stakeholder environment, to include experience across one or more of the following: Programme Management, Organisation Development & Design, Change Management, Quality or Service Improvement, Service Innovation or Transformation and Strategic or Operational Planning. Demonstrate a proven track record of leading and delivering complex, multidisciplinary programmes of work. Have experience of leading and managing change management or project teams. Have experience of working collaboratively and cross-functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve results in a complex environment. Possess the requisite knowledge, ability, and management capacity for the proper discharge of the duties of the role. Post Desirable Requirements A postgraduate or professional qualification in change management, organisational development, project management, or a related discipline or willing to undergo one. Experience of implementing healthcare programmes, including HSE or national health information system rollouts. Experience operating within a complex, regulated healthcare environment.
Senior House Officer In Vascular Surgery
The successful candidate will be required to start Monday 13th July 2026. The successful candidate will work as part of a busy vascular service and responsibilities include assisting with elective and emergency surgery in the main CUH site as well as the surgical hub, out patients clinics, ward rounds and related activities, clinical presentations, audit and teaching of medical students. Vascular trainee also work as part of a hospital trauma team, participate in general or vascular surgery on-call rota and will be expected to attend all departmental teaching and training activities.
