Applications are invited for the following:- STAFF GRADE CLINICAL / EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST Ref: 33/2025 Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week) Children Disability Network Team 1 (North Kerry) Based in Listowel, Co. Kerry (Outreach to Castleisland/Tralee) Job Summary This post is in Network 1 (North Kerry), working as part of an Interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young adults, 0-18yrs and their families. This will include children with Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, children on the Autistic Spectrum and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an Interdisciplinary Disability team. This team is under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE. The successful candidate will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. The Network 1 North Kerry team is based in Listowel with an outreach service to Tralee to provide input to families from the Castleisland/Farranfore area . A ssessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided by an Interdisciplinary team. BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND – WEST REGION PERMANENT FULL-TIME (BASIC GRADE) OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST CHILDREN’S DISABILITY NETWORK 6 TEAM JOB REF: 81722 The Role : Children’s Disability Network Team 6 (CDNT) provide services to children from 0-18 with complex development needs which include physical, sensory, intellectual disabilities and autism. The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland (BOCSI) are the lead agency for this team. Occupational. The CDNT’s are interdisciplinary teams who work within a Family Centred Practice model and work collaboratively with children, families and other stakeholders to meet goals identified by the family. The post holder will be responsible for assessing and delivering intervention to children and young persons in clinic, school, home and community settings depending on their presentation. Qualifications: Candidates must: A full clean driving licence and use of a car is an essential requirement of this post. Experience: Candidates must have at least 1 year post qualification occupational therapy clinical experience. Experience working in an occupational therapy role, working with children with complex developmental disabilities and their families is an advantage. Skills: Candidates must demonstrate competency in applying theory, knowledge and skills of Occupational Therapy within the service area of people with disabilities. Flexibility and an openness to change are required. Fluency in verbal and written English and a high level of communication skills are essential. Working Hours: 70 hours a fortnight based across a 5 dayduty roster. Contracted hours will be between 8:30-5pm (liable to change between the hours of 8am – 8pm as future service needs require and flexibility will be required in order to meet service needs). CDNT6 covers a geographical area of: Galway City East/Ballybane, Claregalway, Gort, Headford and Oranmore, the postholder will be expected to be flexible in covering all areas within the CDNT catchment.
