Main Duties 1. Deliver front-line management and supervision of reconfiguration and extension projects, alongside ongoing maintenance and assessments of Civil infrastructure. 2. Support the Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager and other Management with the logistical, technical and commercial management of the project(s) to meet the overall business objectives 3. Support the project team in the design, procurement, construction, delivery, and handover of the project to achieve desired business outcomes. 4. Be responsible as the day-to-day point of contact for contractor(s) and facilitate communication between airport departments, business partners, consultants, and contractors. This will involve daily and weekly briefings with accurate record keeping. These briefings will include formation and communication of lookahead schedules to stakeholders. 5. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a culture of excellent health, safety, and environmental standards across the project delivery team and business. Ensure associated contractors to deliver the highest levels of health, safety, and environmental performance achievable. 6. Assist in the identification and mitigation of risks that may adversely impact works delivery or adversely affect airport operations. 7. Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to this role, including all standards and code compliance, and required planning permissions. In particular, BIA Safety Management System which is governed by the UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority). 8. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the reimagined W5. We are looking for staff members who are excited to interact with visitors, inspiring them to engage with science and a range of shows and interactive exhibits. MAIN DUTIES: Engage with visitors throughout W5 undertaking the following duties: - Ticket Desk Meet and Greet visitors as they arrive in W5 - visitors range from family groups, school groups to summer scheme groups. Process bookings, walk-up sales, provide orientation regarding exhibition floors and daily shows/events and respond to visitor queries. Lost Planet Soft Activity Zone Manage admissions by checking tickets, provide Health and Safety orientation, supervise play, ensure rules of play are followed at all times, inspect equipment and ensure standards of cleanliness are upheld. Exhibition Floors Ensure that all exhibits are operational. Direct and guide customers so they can engage with a range of science related exhibits and attend shows and events. Maximise visitor experience by demonstrating how exhibits work. Ensure Health and Safety/Safeguarding procedures are adhered to and act as a Fire Warden. Carry out cleaning and exhibit maintenance duties to ensure visitors experience a pleasant environment. Climbit Climbing Structure Provide Health and Safety orientation, supervise play, ensure rules of play are followed at all times, inspect climbing structure and ensure standards of cleanliness are upheld. Introduction Bryson Pathways through its Training and Employability Programmes delivers employment and vocational training programmes to young people and the unemployed. For over 30 years it has been successfully managed and delivered a wide range of qualifications, training and employment programmes. Job Purpose The Caretaker/Mini-bus driver will be responsible for driving a minibus to transport Bryson Participants and /or staff to other training delivery sites, on organised trips or activities. When not required to undertake driving duties they will assist with the upkeep and security of the building. Principle Duties • Always ensuring the safety of passengers in compliance with current legislation - specifically health and safety legislation; and public health best practice. • Undertaking all necessary vehicle maintenance and safety checks are undertaken and properly documented and recorded. • Ensuring the minibus is maintained internally and externally in immaculate condition. • Undertaking the supervision of young people entering, about and leaving the building. • Being aware of and challenging any unauthorised personnel on site. • Assisting with the organisation of the building and/or rooms for training activities or functions including moving furniture and furnishing. • Providing support to other colleagues and young people when required. • Regular building checks and reporting to ensure full contractual and legal compliance. • Any other duties as may be reasonably requested or required.
