Gabriel’s Paediatric Ward is an 18-bed unit specializing in the Nursing Care of Patients presenting with diverse General Medical conditions for example: Diabetes, Asthma, Meningitis and Epilepsy. Additionally, Pre-Operative and Post-Operative Nursing care is provided for children undergoing Surgical Procedures. The Paediatric Unit also provides specialized Oncology care in partnership with Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children Crumlin, as part of the Shared Care Program. The Paediatric ED is located in the Emergency department where patients self-refer or are referred by the GP, and the Paediatric Outpatient Department is located in the main building where patients attend for appointments and ambulatory care.
